Rob_Quads Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 cant see that happening........ I would say its probably a 50/50 whether they will do something. IMO they should amend the existing car tax - the new car tax to a degree is a bit fairer as they know what they are buying into but the existing cars should be put back. After the loss they had recently in the local elections they know they are going to have to do something serious to avoid a complete white wash at the next elections Quote

Rob_Quads Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 IMO its not weak to realise you have screwed up and do the right thing. I give much more respect to someone who realises there is a problem and works to resolve it than just putting their head in the sand. Quote

martinmac Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 The first time you mess up it's a mistake. The second time is a f*ck up....... Cant blame the prime minister, the mess is largely the fault of the previous chancellor Quote

sl114 Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Silly question - as its from me - but how do the non brembo brakes compare to the brembos? Quote
Ardesco Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Supposed to be much the same but fade quicker I think: http://www.zeckhausen.com/Testing_Brakes.htm#Summary I'm assuming the above link is relevant even though it is American. Quote
sl114 Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Interesting read, thanks for that. In conclusion, the brembos are better under repeated braking, but there isnt much between the two generally. Quote
