Hi,

First time poster yaaa!!! i own a 2004 fairlady Z, DE engine but it has horrifically failed the emissions test after trying all the tricks; welded all leaks, nice high rpm drive before testing with cataclean treatment, red hot cats on testing; everything but no joy after many attempts !!!!

It has a berks high flow cats on but thinking it’s done it’s time, obviously stock Nissan new are around £2000 and I hve seen the tarmac sportZ HFC for £400, anyone got this and it’s passed through MOT like they claim?!!

just looking for some advice on the imports !! Cheers everyone!!

Second hand OEM cats would be my shout, or you could try the TS ones but remember that they may need to be red hot still to pass.

Or a friendlier tester, of course. ;)

I have some original DE cats but I'm based in the West Midlands. I cant guarantee the car will pass with them, as I've not tried to get mine through with the cats on. If you are desperate we can sort something out.

How old are the cats, do you have a receipt in the history folder? Maybe they have just degraded/expired? I put them onto my old 2004 DE along with a nearly new Miltek and they passed with a bit of work i.e. giving the car a run and then when testing blipping the throttle.
