Rikz2004 Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Hi all, I need new discs and pads all round for my 2006 350z Roadster with brembo brakes. Does anyone have anything for sale? Would want new only! Quote
HEADPHONES Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Eurocarparts have 50% off brakes at the moment. Brembo discs and pads available for about £300 delivered. 1 Quote
Rikz2004 Posted August 2, 2019 Author Posted August 2, 2019 Just now, HEADPHONES said: Eurocarparts have 50% off brakes at the moment. Brembo discs and pads available for about £300 delivered. That's not bad, how would they compare to these (kinetix brand): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-NISSAN-350Z-INFINITI-G35-FRONT-REAR-DIMPLED-GROOVED-BRAKE-DISCS-BREMBO-PADS/262954137855?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D20d9bf2d866f4ecb919ebfa31656d681%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D252898413495%26itm%3D262954137855%26pg%3D2481888&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Aa0c0f52f-b51d-11e9-845a-74dbd180dccc|parentrq%3A5237398916c0aad98edd0140ffeb8263|iid%3A1 Also how do either of those compare to RTS performance ones that tarmacsportz sells? Good pads but it doesn't say what make the discs are? Anyone used these before? 1 Quote

Good pads but it doesn't say what make the discs are? Anyone used these before? Ferodo premier pads are oem replacement? So just standard pads as far as I can tell. The discs don't seem to have many/any reviews so I'd probably get the kinetix in favour of these tbh, unless anyone has an experience with these? Quote

Rikz2004 Posted August 2, 2019 Author Posted August 2, 2019 Okay so found another listing from the same seller for seemingly the same products for £20 cheaper: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Nissan-350z-350-z-roadster-G35-front-rear-grooved-brake-discs-brembo-pads/261386774453?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D59278%26meid%3Df09b98c5deec4373bed3bda7477925b6%26pid%3D100889%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D262954137855%26itm%3D261386774453%26pg%3D2349624&_trksid=p2349624.c100889.m5204 Am I just being stupid and missing some obvious difference here? ZMANALEX Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 When you are dealing with budget brake stuff I would not read too much into the reviews. Perhaps informed recomendations from other forum members may be more accurate. 1 Quote

Do you have a recommendation for someone that drives enthusiastically on the road but no track use etc? Quote

Rikz2004 Posted August 2, 2019 Author Posted August 2, 2019 @ZMANALEX For some reason I'm having difficulty quoting your post to reply to (but I am on mobile so could be that!) So I guess iif I'm going oem replacement with minimal upgrade then around £300, but if there is a decent upgrade for around £4-500 for example then i would consider it. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 For £300.00 you will get a budget set of rotors and a budget pad similar to the Brembo aftermarket pads or Mintex, Pagid etc if you want to spend a bit more then just upgrade the pads as the budget rotors will work okay for normal road use. 1 Quote

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll stick with oem performance level at the moment as personally find the stock brakes good enough as they are for my style of driving and any extra money could probably be better off spent on other bits. If you want a quote then just drop me a PM. OEM replacement discs and pads are in stock and good to go same/next day 1 Quote
Stock Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 (edited) Might also be worth checking out MTEC OEM replacements as well, used them before on my other cars and they are fine for daily driving, never tracked them before though. The owner of MTEC also has or had a 350z too. I'd stick with official Brembo pads though. Edited August 5, 2019 by Stock 1 Quote
