Bodywork quote

I have been quoted £865.20 for the following work.

 

Front bumper respray

Passenger side underskirt respray (i scraped it on a curb)

Drivers side wheel arch rust(cutting out and re-welding)+respray.

 

Does this sound like a good quote?

Hi mate is it rust on a rear arch if so that's not a bad price, maybe worth getting a couple more quotes

Like Paul said If it’s a rear arch sounds like a bargain. I paid almost that much just to get a rear arch cut out new metal welded in and resprayed.

Where are you based ?. Sounds like a decent price to me but that arch will need to be done properly which isn't straight forward if you want a good job done.

Agreed with all the above. Its a good price but maybe a little too good to be true. 

 

If you trust them or they can offer a guarantee then it's a no brainer else you're betting off paying the bit extra to someone with 350z experience. 

 

Do it right or do it twice.

 The guy at the garage said that its pointless doing a quick job as the rust will come back so he was planning on cutting out the rust and re-welding.  Guarantee on all their work as well.

There was me thinking that was a lot, not to little! Bodywork isn’t cheap by the looks of it!

In Newcastle I was quoted at different times by the same guy

*Back wheel arch rust repair (cut out, treat with wax oil,weld in new metal and spray £400

*Respray bonnet £300
