Lewistaylor271 Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 hi guys, I am currently building a track focused Z with the intentions of turning it into a full on track only car, in the next few months i will be building a sump guard that will have two air ducts connected to the front brake assembly via some flexible air ducting. i have a rough 3D cad design and it would be great if people are up for some dishing out some feedback , it would also help if i could have people that are interested in getting one, to message me as i may be able to reproduce if there is enough interest, i am a Motorsport design engineering student so this is something i love doing, i will do a build log if needs be. i will let the CAD renders do the talking. 2 Quote

P15UL T Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 I like that idea what would you make it from ? Quote
Lewistaylor271 Posted November 8, 2017 Author Posted November 8, 2017 Most likley wood as a template then once happy with the dimensions, move to probably a 2-3mm sheet metal ,most likley aluminium sheet. Quote
Snjur Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Cool. We are as well planing to build shortly aluminium under tray which stretch untill end of the car for more downforce Your idea for cooling is quite good 1 Quote
Adam B Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Nice, Like it. As you`ve stated 2-3mm aluminium would be nice. Is there room for brake ducting? Fed through arch liners or will they be removed? Quote
bc1987 Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 did you ever make these? i am trying to do the same thing! Quote
