Why do people get so angry on Internet forums???

Interesting read, but doesn't quite add up (regardless of being Americanised and hard to relate to)

 

Many (internet) arguments are about completely trivial stuff that will have no real impact on anything, so why do people become so defensive and emotionally invested?

The main thing that makes me angry about people on the internet is the ones try and treat you like a fool to bolster their own ego, i guess its my pet hate about people in general, along with bigots, idiots.................................
