grommit Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Has anybody had trouble with emissions since fitting Berks hfc's? It passed the MOT last year fine but since fitting the hfc's its failed on the co2 emissions is this a common fault? Quote
Jetpilot Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Hit and miss with any hfc to be honest, generally they need to be really hot to pass. 1 Quote
Zeezeebaba Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 I've had mine on for nearly two years (Berks) first MOT it flew through and the second it was just in with some revs and a good run before hand. The car needs a good blast before you go and get it tested. 1 Quote
Rock_Steady Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 yeah, it's not unheard of. Re-map would probably help. Quote
roscopervis Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Mine usually failed. What I found helped was putting the original cats in the boot. The MOT tester who, when confronted with the fuss of having to replace the cats just to pass the MOT, would find another car to stick the probe up. Not technically right, but suited me fine! Quote
AMT Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Always seeing stuff about this, wouldn't it be better just to...not do it... Quote
Exotic Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Not an issue with Berk HFCs generally - they are probably the best known and reliable HFC for the zed. I bought mine second hand off these forums over 6 years ago and they are still passing MOTs! Quote
cs2000 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 No issues with my berks HFC's either, passed the MOT absolutely fine Quote
zippypooz Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Mine was close to failing. Hit and miss really. Quote
