judspud Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Recently put a spoiler on my zed and now it seems the boot lid is too heavy. I have to double press the boot popper and lift up at the same time. Is this a common problem? are there any modifications or uprated struts which are a straight replacement to fix this? TIA Quote

Stutopia Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Personally I'd do the rubber penny trick first and see where you are. The boot "weight" does magic on damping vibrations and rattles as well as stop it popping open. Quote

colesl4w Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I still have this problem even though I replaced my struts with SGS struts. I went for the non-spoiler ones as I have no spoiler. It does stay open by itself now though which is a bonus. I would recommend going all out and getting the highest rated spoiler ones even if you don't have a spoiler. Bonus: You'll have a powerful catapult, lolol. Quote
