Ollydykins Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Hey guys, Got a number of parts that will be getting fitted soon, and I have completely forgot that most of the parts didn't come with anything to fit them, do I need to get anything to fit them or will they use the old bits that come off ? I've got ; 1 x front lip (RT) 1 x charge speed rear (RT) 1 x nismo spoiler (RT) 1 x pair of side diffusers (Tarmac, but I am pretty sure I glanced over it and these are just screws, so no problem) Never had anything fitted to any car before so be nice 😠Olly Quote
tatooandy67 Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I used tiger seal & a couple of concealed self tapping screws when I fitted my front lip Number plate tape and self tapping screws on my side diffusers Not sure about your spoiler but the one I had used the same bolt holes as the oem spoiler and I also used number plate tape Charge speed rear - no idea, never fitted one but I'm sure someone will be along soon Quote
Ollydykins Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016 Just need to know whether I need to buy anything, or whether the workshop normally use their own buts and bobs... But thanks for your help Olly Quote
Payco Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I hope RTP are fitting your chargespeed. I personally wouldn't and haven't taken my car anywhere else. They made the chargespeed copy and know exactly how to fettle it to fit. Enjoy your impending mods. 1 Quote
Ollydykins Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016 RT are SOO far away from me, and aswell as some other reasons I didn't even bother. Olly Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 But they are SOOO, SOOO good with their work, wouldn't take my cars anywhere else for anything to do with body work. Just had a full respray of the GTR there Quote
Payco Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I am a 2.5 hour journey away from RT but I have taken my car there 5 times for work. I would drive/travel twice that distance if it meant getting the work done by them. Quote
Ollydykins Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016 It's just other reasons that's all, distance isn't the problem, it's being without a car, then transporting everything back up somehow Olly Quote
Payco Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Then please take it to someone who has experience of working with fibreglass as it needs fettling and the fit is only as good as the fitter. Quote
Andy_Muxlow Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Good luck Olly, hope all goes well. Sent from my iPad using a hammer and chisel... Quote
Mopedmark Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 It all depends on your home mate as more than likely you will pass a load of body shops on the way to London Quote
Ollydykins Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016 Well the people who are wrapping my car APM customs are going to be fitting everything as they wrap it. So it makes my life easier and theirs, AND my wallet ! But thanks for every bodies help. So do I need to buy parts or will the body shop supply them? 🙄 Olly Quote
Adam B Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Bodyshop should be able to supply hardware if they`re a competent outfit. Unless you need specialist components. 1 Quote
Payco Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Hope it goes well for you but be aware the Chargespeed benefits from someone who has fitted one before and knows how to fettle it to get the fit and shut lines bang on hence why I said go to RTP for the win. 1 Quote
Ollydykins Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 Yeah I know, but if the company say they're confident in taking it on, then who am I to say no Olly 1 Quote

Olly Apm are also part of SMC and GT Cars don't forget. They've got their own bodyshop. I am literally yet to hear one bad review about APM Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk 1 Quote
