Just finished reading it. Great car and some mods I'd like to do myself.

Wow I like that! It makes me kinda want one. I love the shape of the one you have, the interim ones between yours and the 2016 shape I dislike - and iv realised why. It's the wheel arches, the way they don't flow and look like something off a Micra. Whereas your mx5 looks aggressive and has smooth lines. I like

 

I was in one a week or two back and they are considerably lower than a zed which I like also.

Mk2 & mk1 were definitely the nicest prior to the newest one.

So for Christmas I got a new Leather Gear and Handbrake gaiter.

I also got some new car mats...

 

I did also fit new brake discs (went for grooved) and pads all around, I'll get the pics up soon.

Tbf the old gear stick and hand brake gaiters didn't look in bad shape but the new ones do look good with the blue stitching.

Agree with Granville, blue stitching looks great.

But why doesn't the stitching line up to the bottom right corner? Would drive my OCD up the wall

This is what they look like. Well this is the rear anyway. Front looks more impressive, for a small car lol.

So today I had my MOT, Service and Wheel alignment.

All went well, I have to say I've very proud of my Maxine. She's been a very good girl.

 

I bought these a while ago and decided to do them today. First of all blue tubing to replace the boring black one.

 

 

Then replace the washer jets with some Ford ones. A much better spray pattern

Small update. Maxine got written off back in December 2017 by some black ice. Just bought a 2014 qashqai tekna in black. Looks the bees
