sprevett Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 tested them both again and went for the younger model. so all I have to do is collect it, get it to big phil for a nismo, and work out how the heck to tell fiancee that the wedding might have to be delayed... still, what's a few weeks of angry woman compared to a '54 GT in gunmetal with alezan leather eh? well ok it might be more than a few weeks...thanks to all for help & advice and I pleased to be getting my first zed very soon. God know's why they are called tonneau's all they are is a blanking piece that fits underneath the rear strut brace to stop stuuff in the boot sliding forward Well done with your purchase by the way Quote
tmJak Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 all they are is a blanking piece that fits underneath the rear strut brace to stop stuuff in the boot sliding forward and nissan charge about £90 for the privledge! welcome to ownership. you're not too far away from me Quote
tmJak Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 oh and get some pics posted when you actually get the car Quote
Lexx Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Get used to wearing a smile dude! Even an angry missus wont be able to wipe it off! Quote
MSportUK Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Good choice! If you're after a tonneau, try Holdcroft. They're genuine bits and cheaper than I could find anywhere else. One dealer reckoned it was less than they were paying for them, but I'm not entirely convinced. Might be a forum discount available(?) It was the first thing I got after I picked mine up and realised how open the boot was. Piece of cake to fit too - just screw a couple of brackets in and you're away. Quote
rmmackfc Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Welcome mate You can easily make a tonneau too Quote
Zummertor Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Good car choice, choosing to get married ? the jury is out on that one Enjoy all of it ! Quote

bronzee Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 ...in my favour she has always commented how cool Zs look, and she llikes a good thrash in a sports car... Excellent, so suggest the Zed be used as the wedding car. You'll be fine as long as she's not wearing a huge white meringue. Quote

sprevett Posted February 5, 2008 Author Posted February 5, 2008 thanks boys - especially for the non-pc comments on girlfriends & marriage - so glad I'm in the right crowd here and now for another question....does a Nismo exhaust cause any insurance issues? Quote
martinmac Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Told my insurance company about it and stressed it did not increase the power, which it doesnt. They asked why I had fitted it and I told them it made the engine more efficient. No change to my policy. Quote
