LRF4N Posted July 3, 2016 Share Posted July 3, 2016 I contacted dvla for the availability of my plate. They said it wasn't available but given my interest they will release it- by auction. There was no charge for it and they contacted me to tell me it was coming up It wasn't the live auction it was the timed auction. At that point it was the sealed bid auction so I had no idea what others were bidding, or even if anyone was bidding. I could've paid a lot less with the new ebay style auction But yea, do it yourself directly with dvla I'm guessing the 300 is like a deposit for them to make sure you will buy after they bid on it? 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
