Easty Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Ok guys I know it's probably been asked before but I'm going to ask again. Just got a set of HFC's I know the car will run better with a Up-Rev when there on but will she still run ok without one, or will she run like a bag of sh1t and loose power? Thanks Quote
davey_83 Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Will be OK, plenty of folks run them without a remap Quote
KyleR Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 She'll be fine, however if you have a full exhaust system, plenum spacer, cone filter etc, it may run a little lean, but it'll be fine for daily driving, not so much on track. Quote
davey_83 Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 ^ I doubt the AFR will suffer from those mods Quote
KyleR Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 ^ I doubt the AFR will suffer from those mods Mine ran lean with those mods, nothing to worry about as I never ragged the ass off it. Quote
mdunbar Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 You will likely get the engine management light coming on too without a remap. Quote
GMballistic Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 You will likely get the engine management light coming on too without a remap. ^^ This. I had a set of Berks HFC's fitted to my Zed and an Invidia Gemini exhaust system, ...the car ran fine afterwards but as mdunbar mentions my EML did come on after a few weeks. I turned it off using the ECU reset AKA the pedal dance but it would always come on again eventually. UpRev sorted it though in the end. Quote
RavenDW Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 You will likely get the engine management light coming on too without a remap. That's good to know. I'm not looking to change the cats or exhaust yet (until I need to anyway) but at least now I won't be rushing to the forums in a panic when I do. I'll need to look for a place in the Midlands that can/will remap the Zed. Quote
Easty Posted April 25, 2016 Author Posted April 25, 2016 Thanks guys, it's got a custom true duel exhaust and K&N panel filter. Have got round to sorting a spacer yet lol Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Have got round to sorting a spacer yet lol Plenty in stock if you want new, Motordyne Once you fitted everything, including the HFC, go to Jez@Horsham to have your UpRev done and disable the O2 sensors so you don't get any engine management light on but also improve the power a little bit. Ye I'd love one but Iv just bought a house so it's a no go at the moment lol I'll be getting one at some point 😊 Quote
mattyp01 Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Just got the motordyne de cats from Adrian at Torqen paired with an Invidia Gemini system. car sounds awesome now. Not too loud the de cats do not sound raspy either like some other de cats Quote

Which of the HFCs will pass the MOT exhaust tests? Is it all or a smaller list from those that you have on the website Adrian? Thinking for my 04 DE, but need to make sure it passes its next MOT. Guest marcw79 Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 I have Berks and no issues with mot ... but I understand it can be hit and miss ... Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk Quote
Flashback Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Yeah Jez at HDev said they are fine as long as you get them hot before you test. Just wondered about the other Torqen have on the website add there is quite an array. Quote
