Hi guys since supercharging my car i have been running motul 300v 5w 30 and changing it at intervals of 4500miles

However I have just been reading that this is very good oil however what I was reading suggested changing out at 3000 mile max

Can anyone offer any advice on this

I think unless you're tracking it regularly then that's miles overkill. Even 4500 would be a bit excessive in my eyes.

That oil is superb stuff, very difficult to buy anything much better, so it doesn't need changing as often. If you were running Generic Cheap-O Oil then sure, change it often, but without tracking it I'd stick to the usual 9K service regime myself.

Told you this on Sunday. 300v is superb stuff but I stopped buying it about 4 years ago and most of the brand fully synthetic ester oils are equally good and cheaper. Gulf, Fuchs, etc

3k is overkill for what use use your car for. 4.5k is good. 6k changes with that oil will still be perfect.

Yeah I know we said it was good stuff just read about changing earlier than I do

I assume that's in a motorsport application
