DarmoZ Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I have the standard 18 inch wheels with stock 225/45 front and 245/45 rear. I have seen this set on Gumtree of GT4 Rims and I am thinking to upgrade: https://www.gumtree.com/p/wheel-rims-tyres/nissan-350z-limited-edition-gran-turismo-4-gt4-alloys-hydro-dipped-wrapped-18-alloy-wheels-x5-unq/1136331963 Stock spec of current wheels/tyres are: 225/45R18 245/45R18 8.5Jx18 ET27 9Jx18 ET27 5x114.3 The new combination will be: 225/45R18 245/45R18 8Jx18 ET30 8.5Jx18 ET33 My question is would these fit my ZED OK?Does the difference In wheel width (J) and ET make much difference? If so should i use a different tyre size. As you can tell this is my first time venturing into the the world of changing Rims. Thanks 😊 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
martybhoy Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 These wheels were made specifically for the 350z I don't see why you'd encounter any issues. Quote
Jetpilot Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Your wheels wont be standard if they are 8.5 & 9's and offset of 27, std rays are 8 & 8.5 et 30 & 33. That aside those wheels will straight on as they came of a 350z, although they are considerably heavier than std Rays if thats what you have. Quote
M1 6RYF Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Those wheels have been for sale for a fair few months. I reckon you could knock him down a sizeable chunk Quote

I was going of this guide which says those are the numbers for stock 18 wheels: http://www.wheel-size.com/size/nissan/350z/2004/ Haven't actually gone out to the car and had a look, I'll go and check If there are any markings. I don't have the Rays, I believe they are a optional extra, I have the stock 18s, here a recent pic of my car: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
DarmoZ Posted October 18, 2015 Author Posted October 18, 2015 Sounds like these shouldn't be an issue since they came of a ZED in the first place. I'll see what I can get him down to and mention I don't need the 5th. He should include the key nut aswell right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Jetpilot Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 They are the touring wheels, both 8j. The Gt4's are 0.5" wider rear so tyres as well as wheel will fit fine Quote

davey_83 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 You use your own locking key and wheel boots Quote
DarmoZ Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Yeh can't wait to see them on, getting them fitted with 4 new MPSS tyres on the 31st, will post pics when it's all done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited October 23, 2015 by DarmoZ Quote
DarmoZ Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) So the new wheels and MPSS have been Installled, really happy with the look and the handling has been transformed, taking corners at speeds not possible before, they haven't even worn in yet Michelin currently run a promotion where you get some money back in the form of fuel vouchers, I'm getting £50 back, promotion runs until end of November. P.s. Tyre Barn set all 4 on 32PSI stating this is correct, sounds a bit low to me, what do you think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited November 3, 2015 by DarmoZ 1 Quote

veilside z Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Certainly different. They look great fitted on. I would keep the design as it's quite discreet. Quote
