david85williams Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Hi all! Can someone please recommend me a suitable paint for my brake discs? Obviously I won't be painting the braking surface! Quote
Richf Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Looks great Joking aside I usually use silver Hammerite smoothrite, seems to last ok 2 Quote

Tricky-Ricky Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Smoothrite/Hammerite works fine but so does 2K, used this on lots of cars for disc's and calipers. Quote
-Bradders- Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 dont you mean your calipers? or you actually want to paint the disc? Quote
andy10v Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 dont you mean your calipers? or you actually want to paint the disc? Seems to be quite popular to paint the disc hat at the moment, you dont see surface corrosion on the unswept areas of the discs, you can buy coated discs so the coating is only cleaned off the area the pad contacts. Rock_Steady Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I sprayed mine in chrome paint. Doesn't look chrome by any means but has a certain something about it compared to the Hammerite finish. Quote
david85williams Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 Thanks guys! That gives me some options! Quote
