BulletMagnet Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 As some of you may know, I have moved to Germany, where I now work at Cologne/Bonn Airport as a Ramp Agent. Anyway, I was doing a turnaround on an Air Berlin flight outbound to Palma De Mallorca. Everything was going well, tanker did its job, baggage guys were unloading/loading, cleaners did their bit. Start boarding after tanker and cleaners are done and expecting 189 passengers. 20mins later all are aboard apart from six passengers, two families. One named Russo and the other.......Negro. As the Gate Attendant makes the announcement, I just say to him "I am glad we are not in an american airport right now" He looks at me a bit confused and makes his final call announcement "Could the Negro Family urgently come to Gate D50, this is your last call" After which the penny drops. Awkward indeed 4 Quote
Ekona Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Like living in Brixton and calling your cat in at night, when it's name is Blackie. Whilst we didn't live in Brixton, my Mum's dog when I was growing up was genuinely called Blackie, soppy old Lab cross. I did used to get some odd looks when calling her to come back on the lead when I was younger, although I didn't realise why until later in life... Quote
SteveM Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 could have been worse... your old soppy black lab could have been named after the dog in the dambusters film..... 1 Quote
