a big fan of these...yes i know its a vauxhall and the interior is rubbish but if fuel prices werent through the roof i would have looked at one. theres a clip on you tube of one with the Wortec exhaust which is switchable.....oh my god it sounds good!!!!!!
  6. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/433168.htm found this on pistonheads, looks pretty nice but im sure they are amg style wheels? kinda looks weird because you know they should be on a mercedes but nice wheels all the same!!
  7. thats spot on, cheers mate.
  8. i'm hooked now.... how to get fired by alan sugar on the first show.... tell alan sugar (football fanatic and proper rags to riches) that you dont like football and you are better than these common folk to the right of me. well done Nicholas....twwwaaaaaaaatt!!!
  9. mods, feel free to move this where you see fit. My nismo skirts should arrive soon and was wondering how easy they would be to fit. I can see the bolts on each end holding the oem parts in place, is it just a case of taking these off and the panel comes out or not? they are genuine nismo so the fit should be perfect. any advice would be great! cheers,
  10. it sure was, the Zed would arrive first with the RS close behind. I drove all these cars extensively and they were all great in their own right. The biggest dissapointment was the R32 which felt very sluggish compared with the other 3. On paper its right up there and on wet roads the 4wd advantage could be seen but in the dry it didnt deliver. I know EVO magazine raved about this car but all 4 of us shared this view which was strange. We literally had every hot hatch on the market over the years, i had a leon cupra R, bro had a 147 GTA, clio 172 cup. The alfa was no doubt my favourite, comedy fuel consumption but incredible engine note and the feeling your in something special. Chuffed to bits with the Zed now, i thought i was always going to be a hot hatch driver but the Zed is much more grown up and there is nothing that can compare for the money. Was filling up in manchester last week and some guy (mid 40's), asked what my car was? I said a nissan and his face was a picture. He said he looked like its a 60k car and was very complimentary. I have realised that my car doesnt say Nissan on it once so could understand the confusion
  11. i've experienced both tyres on various cars (mainly hot hatches) but i found the falkens poor in the wet where as the toyos were much better in all conditions. down side is they dont last that long but a soft tyre = more grip but wears quicker. id rather have decent tyres than pay for something that isnt as good just because it will last a little longer. just my opinion though.
  12. the most important thing to know is that the Zed was King!!!
  13. if you are looking to buy amps i have 2x phoenix gold zx 600 ti and a zx 475 ti for sale. these are very high quality amps, cost around £800 new. pm if interested. i have lots of stuff. phoenix gold eq, focal speakers, focal sub etc
  14. did anyone spot nicholas in his oversized mirrored ray bans!!! pure comedy!! put my name down for a £5 lobster, actually i'll buy the lot!!
  15. yeah ill take some more, just had to rush out so couldnt do it properly. i think they were about £80 delivered. that was for the mirror post covers too.
  16. just bored waiting for the apprentice to come on and was wondering who has the highest number under their signature? im only on a miserable 101 so come on guys lets see what you got!!
  17. nothing to say just wanted to add my 100th post!!!
  18. no suspension creak with me...just crunching gearbox and clicking axles!!
  19. great read! as mike said that kuro looks really cool, and that exhaust...maybe supersprint? i know they do an oval style like that.
  20. i have some focal utopias but only in 5 inch from a previous car, i think ill fit these one weekend, they are brilliant speakers. id be interested to hear somones car who has changed the speakers, i've sort of got used to the bose system but i know that in car audio terms it isnt that great. another reason to come to donny!
  21. id go for a dark colour black/anthracite on a gunmetal car. personally i think the red lip looks really tacky and bronze will just be a mis match of colours. if you've already got the carbon theme then black will look best. as people have said they do make the wheels appear smaller so you would have to lower it to get the full effect. why not 19"s they look much much than 18"s unless you gonna lower the car alot then i think 18's look cool.
  22. they are from delsa, yes mate. i will take some better pics tomorrow and send them to you. aslong as the edge is stuck down the fit is very good. im not sure if to take over the post covers though, dont want it to look over the top and the mirrors did look really good on their own.
  23. well they arrived today from taiwan or all places. the carbon weave is alot bigger than my nismo b pillars but i actually prefer this look than the smaller weave. (shame it doesnt all match) right the bit everyone wants to know...do they fit? well....i ordered the mirror post covers too which are basically just carbon triangles, the annoying thing is these have to be trimmed at the top because there is a small section at the top of the oem mirror post which is raised up slightly from the rest of the panel. ive trimmed them but havent made a great job of it so the finish on the top isnt too hot. the mirror covers fit suprisingly well despite alot of negative reports. to be honest i think if you have a light colour car then they wouldnt look as good because it would be easy to see where the covers stop if you see what i mean. anyway heres a few pics so see what you think. didnt have time to do some proper shots or clean my car but i think they look great. cheers guys, Si
  24. i think that wheel combo (black/polished) looks very cool on red. just get that lowered now mate and it will really finish it off
  25. thats a great price for that mileage, spec etc. i'll mention to a friend of mine, he's still in early stages but worth a go. good luck with the sale mate.
