maybe we should set a thread up where everyone who has aftermarket wheels posts one pic of their car and lists the wheel make and size etc. just an idea! there is just so much choice out there, and its very difficult to tell what looks good until you see some actually fitted on a car.

totally agree Ian, i think its that well engineered that most of the fun has been taken out...still i wouldn't mind one if i had a spare million. the way it left the Zonda over that drag race though was just mind blowing!!!!! :scare:

cheers Mike. yeah i was going to have this done but the main reason i had them painted was to avoid the constant worry of keeping the polished wheels salt free! Now i live in a flat, car washing doesn't occur as regularly as i'd wish! May consider this in the summer!

In answer to your questions... yeah the back end does sometimes look abit high but when i've got a full tank of juice and i'm sat in it, it levels up nicely. stubby...on my christmas list. nismo stickers will be going back on, will call ESR tomorrow and get them ordered. hadn't thought of door handles but i might call the place up and see if they could do these!

They look totally different dependent what the light is like, in the sun they look much brighter and in they dark they look very stealthy all opinions welcome...certainly easier to keep clean now!

Well i picked the car up last night and am really pleased with the results. In the end i went for the option called smoked chrome which i didnt like the sound of at all but its like an anthracite that reflects the light abit more, essentially its black with silver dusted over the top so in different lights it picks up the curves and edges of the wheel. Will get some pics later on and post them up!

the VXR8's are awesome cars, especially the with the Wortec upgrades!!

you say that...i saw a new ST yesterday with a front splitter, those wheels and lowered and i thought it was an RS. Its only when he tried to get away from me i knew it wasn't

i think it looks a bit tarty, when you look at cars like the escort cosworth although they were wild they looked very special where as this looks like an st with every bulge, splitter and vent ford had in its parts bin!!

Hi mate, hope your well. Yeah he said the satin black is alot darker than it looks on the pic. He said they do two shades on charcoal whereas on the website thats the darker one. I do like that combo!!

i haven't seen this Sarnie, anyone got a pic? Thats about the colour my Rotas are now. Also, are you keeping the polished lip? Darker anthracite looks excellent with the polished lip - but then I am bias! the problem is the polished lip on the nismo's isnt that big so it may not look right. if i had a deep dish i would def leave it polished.

wet sprayed i believe, i've heard a few negative stories regarding powdercoating.

that colour does look good, I definitely dont want any darker than this. cheers mate.

Yeah i fully agree Beavis, if i had a silver, white, yellow i would have done it ages ago and to be honest i looked into trying to swap my Zed for a red one until i realised how much money i'd lost!!!! One of my wheels has badly corroded so they need doing anyway it was just whether i went std silver or something a little different.

using these people Mike, got a good showroom with all the finishes and the guys seem to know what they are talking about. http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/ only thing i'm unsure of is whether to go for their lighter anthracite or their darker colour? I'll decide on the day when i see the demo wheels but all opinions welcome.

got mine from main dealer in manchester cost me about £80. in my opinion, you have to have one. Yes, the quality could be better but thats mainly because the cabin noise is so loud in the Zed. Well worth it, especially when you compare it to 3 points and £60 fine!!! I learned the hard way

my cars booked in on thursday at The Wheel Specialist in Manchester to have my Nismo's sprayed anthracite/charcoal. I just thought with so many people having Nismo's it would be nice to do something a little different with them. I'm sure some with love them and some will hate them but i'll be sure to post the pics when they are done!

its days like today i wish we still had the VXT, let the sun shine!!!
