The RS4 looks more white than the S5! I like this... chrome effect all over they have got a gallardo booked in soon for chrome. He said its very expensive to do this because the chrome requires a base layer hence it has to be wrapped twice!! Would certainly turn heads but i just couldnt do it to a lambo!!

Thats what would worry me, the number of stone chips I manage to pick up is rediculous, if it's strong enough to hold them off though I would be seriously tempted. the vinyl acts a protective layer also and is very resiliant (spellcheck) to stone chips. He said they haven't had a car back for a replacement front bumper wrap yet. Obviously if it did go through the vinyl or anyone scratched it you just have that panel re-done so hardly a big problem. If someone puts a decent scratch in your paint, you'll need more than t-cut anyway! Vinyl is guaranteed for 5 years and the fitment for 3 years.

shame i cant get pearl white cos that looks matt black as my other option but i thought from a distance it will just look like i havent polished my car for a few years where at least the white is going to be about as stark contrast as i can get. Cant decide whether to do the roof and centre of my front lip in carbon, matt black or leave gloss back?

just the hassle of changing the v5 and if you get a proper job done, taking the engine out etc. I live in Lymm mate so not far from Manchester at all

I take your point, and as i said its nowhere near as good as a paint job. 2k seems very cheap but the only reason i'm not painting it is for the resale and all the other probs attached. I'm not treating this as a long term option, maybe have it on for a year or two max then i'd be looking to change the car anyway. Waxing and polishing isnt really needed anymore, i'm sure a layer of wax cant do any harm. I've moved in to a flat now so car cleaning has become more difficult which was another factor that swayed me into it.

in theorythey they can do anything. They had a db9 and an m6 in when i went which were both being wrapped white. Cost wise, circa £1000.

Mine is going in in two weeks time so i'll post the pics up once its done. I know the guy so got a 'special' price and thought why not. They can do a carbon fibre vinyl so i'm having the roof in that and the centre part of my front lip. Cant wait to see the results

My lip is not carbon but you can get it in carbon and i think it would look good. Only reason i didnt is because i'd heard the fitment wasn't very good compared with the urethane version which was spot on.

sorry mate, decided to take off the popcharger this weekend so i listen to the exhaust more as it all started to merge into one before. It will go back in to be turned up abit, sounds lovely at idle but tails off into the rev range. As soon as its back i'll get a vid and some proper pics.....i promise

Thanks mate, glad you like. The numberplate lettering is very slightly smaller than std and i've cut the plate down a bit. So in theory yes it is illegal but in practice the differences are too subtle for the cops to notice....famous last words
