  1. Shoot me a PM and I'll take a look at it if you like, seeing as how you've been pretty good about obeying the rules on here
  2. Hmm, good question. Tbh I'd write an ad like this: Nissan 350Z GT Coupe, 2003 55,000 miles FNSH 6 months tax & MOT Then some blurb about how long you've owned it, how lovingly you've looked after it, no expense spared, only used at weekends, that sort of rubbish highlight any bad points next, be honest but don't make them sound the end of the world, then finish with a few lines saying just what a great example it is and you'll miss it. Generic rubbish perhaps, but it works and will make your ad stand out. Front load it with the important info so you don't waste people's time, and then gush but don't put stuff in like electric windows, airbags etc as no-one cares and it's irritating to read. All just my opinion and I should state that I've never sold a car privately, so this is only what I like to read when browsing ads!
  3. Dodgy photos or description then. If a car is advertised well, and is a good price, then 9/10 it will sell. You're not based in Scotland are you?
  4. If it's not selling, and you've had no interest, then it's priced too high. Sadly, that's the bottom line here I feel.
  5. Doubt it, they don't ask when you stick a Failside kit or similar on. Definitely not a kit car, as it's not been built from a kit.
  6. Damn straight. Put it another way, would you rather drive that or the equivalent age Impreza with the usual garish body kit and wheels slapped onto it?
  7. Would you drive it? Yup, why not? As long as there's some supporting mods, and with a FMIC conversion I'm assuming there is, that would be a really fun car.

    Perfect analogy!
  9. I quite like that. Apart from the hideous steering wheel, I think that's quite a smart looking car and takes the best bits from Audi and BMW and merges them with a 90's turbo nutter barge. Top idea

You'd love the tyres on my MX-5 then, £30 each

    Tyres Help

I'm guessing that's probably a dealer-fit quote for OEM tyres, whatever they are on a Civic.
  13. Click here to see (click to see, NSFW or family!) BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Really? W is rated for 168mph. Now, I don't know the OP's car in detail, but I'm fairly confident in saying that it won't be doing 168mph any time soon Those tyres will be fine. Well, they're utter cheapy garbage so will be horrible, but there's no other reason you shouldn't be able to run them if you want to.
  15. I think you're over-worrying about this. Buy some decent ones (i.e. not ones made up by your mate in a shed), fit them correctly, check after a week, then don't worry about them again.
  16. Supernatural, if you can stump up the cost. Goes on easier, buffs off easier, gives a better finish.
  17. I wouldn't have said anything. Yes, he's being a bit inconsiderate, but not all of us are car nuts and it is only a bit of sawdust: Cement dust I'd have been far more annoyed at. We too have issues with neighbours blocking us in and generally being arses by making noise and stuff, but we let it go as they take parcels for us when we're out and we take their driveway when we have friends with nice cars round. Give and take really, not worth starting a huge argument over it. If you think he's still pi**ed off then take a four-pack round, have a laugh and a joke about it and he'll probably be a bit more thoughtful next time seeing as how you're now his mate.
  18. I wouldn't check them at all tbh. I would've checked them when they were first put on, and I would've checked them a week later, and then I'd check them every six months or so or whenever I had the wheels off. Stuff I'd be checking for trackdays would be fluids, tyre pressures, brake pads etc.
  19. Our entire company is on O2, so it does effect us directly. Again though, if it was absolutely that dire a need you'd have a back-up plan, but if not you just work round it. Wasn't directly digging at you Lee, it just so happened that yours was the last post before I posted. I'd already decided what I was going to write back on page 2 after catching up this morning!
  20. I would check them for normal road driving, and wouldn't do anything over that regardless if I was tracking the car or not. If they come with a torque setting then they should've been done up to that originally, otherwise I'd just use the same setting as the wheel nuts (100ft/lbs IIRC, but check the manual as I could be wrong!).
  21. I don't get why people are making such a huge fuss of this. How many days consecutively have we had perfect O2 coverage/reception (location variables excluded)? I can't remember the last time it went down, and it's not like they're just sitting around scratching their balls wondering what to do. I bet the engineers are working some serious overtime to get it sorted, and their customer service have been pretty open and up front about the problem. Sure, for some it's an inconvenience, but it's not the end of the world. You've probably lost more days of O2 service in the last 10 years because you've run out of battery than over this minor issue. And yes, mine too is no longer working this morning. Nice quiet day for me!
  22. The accepted plural is "roofs". The plural of roof is roofs or rooves The Oxford English Dictionary lists "rooves" as an alternate, one of several outdated spellings used in the UK, and in New England as late as the 19th century Thanks for the advice all the same. So the accepted plural is roofs, but you still used rooves?
  23. That's because the 452s are only marginally better in the wet than the 040s, and they're both not really suitable for the Zed and this is what happens when you mix tyres. Oh come one, this has been going for pages now and that's the first time I've mentioned anything! Hope it gets sorted out soon fella, I think you took it quite well considering but please don't underestimate how important it is to have matching tyres all round.
  24. Exactly. How would you like them to test it? 9 miles is nothing, gives the car a decent shakedown too.
