  1. 100% agreed, I can’t see it being that cheap at all.
  2. That looks lovely. I assume the interior pic is what you’re aiming for with the tablet?
  3. Adjusting for inflation from when the 370 came out, a price around £45k would be about right. Cayman S is £55k before options, and given the price differences in 2009 between the two I reckon that sounds about right. That said, a 370Z Nismo is just over £40k new now so maybe that’s what they’ll be aiming at. That puts it smack in the super high 5 year tax bracket though, which may not be the right way to go. But who knows, after all it’s looking likely to be a 370 with a different engine underneath so given how cheap it’s been to create they may allow them to be flexible with the cost. £39,995 would be ideal.
  4. And McLaren show you can do both with their cars. Their ride is impeccable, albeit expensive.
  5. 20 years old. The FM platform is 20 years old.
  6. Great colour? It’s white! I’m sure it’s pretty up close but it’s still just a white.
  7. It has a Failside kit, so that automatically disqualifies it. And the Japspeed exhaust isn’t exactly a winner either.
  8. If you can get underneath easy enough (can do it with axle stands or ramps at a push) and have a copious amount of Plusgas, breaker bars and possible a dremel handy, then it’s dead easy. Just a few bolts to undo and gaskets to slip in.
  9. It’s a good point, who knows what will be out in three years time? Refresh of the Supra will almost be here if not already, most likely a new TT, def a new Cayman, plus the usual Golf R/1-series/A-class contenders that dominate this price point now. A 400Z would have to be incredible to be a sales success, and even that guarantees nothing (Alpine says hello). Not saying it won’t be of course, we know Nissan can do great cars when they want to.
  10. I think the auto rags get their info from the same bloke that makes up Dear Deidre every day. In fact I’m sure of it.
  11. I’d be happy if it looked like that.
  12. And if any car doesn’t need it, it’s the LFA unless it’s so deathly quiet in the cabin without it. Which also makes me sad, as that’s a proper sports coupe.
  13. Given the spec, this is a bargain for someone. I’ve seen this car in action, it does exactly what it says on the tin and it’s a very fair advert.
  14. Might be just where you live mate, I’m in a pretty large town in Suffolk but even travelling the main A roads to Cambridge I get naff all reception on Dab and that’s in the BMW with OEM integration.
  15. He cannot tell us what year it will come, for a car that’s already been shown (albeit in shadow)? Way to inspire confidence, Nissan
  16. I know they fit, but I had a 2 door Astra before hand and whilst you make it work, a 4 door is a billion times easier
  17. Not sure what baby seat setup you have, but I find having four doors an absolute godsend. For ferrying kids around, I don’t think I’d go 2 door coupe tbh so that’s worth thinking about too. Rules out the 4 series but obvs there’s always the 3, or many others too.
  18. No good for a baby, you won’t get a pushchair in the nose without a hacksaw. But when they’re out of one, then 100% but go 997 instead
  19. Huge gobs of power I can live with, suspension that jerks you over the place when you apply that power gradually less so! It was anything but safe, especially in the conditions I drove it in. On a lovely summer day I’m sure it’s fine, but in mixed conditions it was shocking, and ESP can’t ever beat the laws of physics the M135i I drove straight after taking the M3 back was absolutely fine, and it’s not like that’s lacking shove either.
  20. Well worth doing, as despite being a firm fan of big power RWD coupes i found the M4/3 to be horrible (early ones are least). The suspension is dreadful, leading to the car wanting to kill you rather than thrill you. They gave me one for a whole day, and I still took it back early because it was scary in damp/drying conditions. I hear this has been improved in later cars and esp the Comp/CS editions, but make sure you drive the age of the car you’ll be buying. Under power on the exit of an average bend and only being driven at about 6/10ths... Nope.
  21. Have you driven an M4 yet?
  22. But £20k for a GT-T??? Man I know they’re good looking, but that seems daft.
  23. What about a Mustang? Although fuel economy not so great, but a great GT car that can be pushed when when on your own.
