  1. Oh just found this while on subject of animations! Sorry unrelated but fun! (Probably Manchester on a Saturday night!) Looks like Beavis on the Wales run! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mA_LXsavu0
  2. I think the animated trailer they are using for the 2010 Limpixs is just awesome! Like a 1930's black and white Russian cartoon style - fab work - wish I could do stuff like that? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JAqz-Kn2KE&feature=player_embedded
  3. Beavis that is sooooo clean it does'nt look real - in fact it looks like a RC controlled model 350z car Very nice job I must say teeny bit disappointed you did'nt get the tooth brush out and clean the tyre treads but what the hell - its good enough! (just kidding mate looks ace)
  4. I think that was Firestone Stan Oops! Well anyway you get my point
  5. Oh dont set me off on this one! All car makers have recalls all of the time I dont understand why the press have singled them out! To have the head of Toyota UK on the other night saying - dont panic and we are doing all we can, was cringeworthy. Then Head of Toyota Japan etc etc - cool it for goodness sakes talk about over kill! Now I hear Honda has a recall we so f***** what ! Good grief have we all become gay or something or is it that need to fill 24 hours of news on the TV again! You can bet the journalists are ferreting around to see it that recall on brake light bulbs failing on Vauxhalls will kill pedestrians at 50 paces! Did you get head of Bridgestone tyres or Ford saying sorry that their Explorer 4x4 can kill the drivers because the tread peels away from the tyre?
  6. We will try to pop in over the weekend as the proper launch is on Friday till Sunday according to the letter - just not practical for us to go Thursday evening. The cube is a love it or hate it car but we love that kind of weird Jap stuff anyway., strategic pricing at £14K but its a Note underneath and they are half that price so best way to buy a cube is wait - get an ex demo or preowned in 12 months time when they will be normal money - simples! AndWood - the cashcow is selling well. I see them everywhere, its a neat package. I was'nt keen on them when they first came out but I did have a Pathfinder at the time and thought they were just toy cars but to be honest I think they look good now and as a new parent if we had'nt decided on the Grand Vitara it was an option for us. If you do pop in take some pictures for us otherwise I will mostly bore everyone with a mini review when we get to see them for ourselves.
  7. Just got letter from Westway Nissan to see the 370z and Cube next Thursday evening 5-8pm - both cars we are interested in but hey no money no time and newborn baby! If anyone wants to go to this instead then phone Andrew Coomber 0161 628 6200. This is at Westway Oldham btw enjoy and take some pictures for me please
  8. already ahead of you I still use it on and off , but typical me I just wired up some cabling to my stereos and surround sound amp so can plug it in as required around the house - geek that's me!
  9. Not going to preach to you to stop smoking but like Chris I had family that suffered because of it so please consider it for you and your families sake. On another note if you want advice on how to remove fag smoke from the car let me know - had to do it in the 300c when I got it.
  10. How Very dare you sir!! I've gone the other way my iPod nano has been quietly resting ever since I got the wonderphone but I do work miles from civilisation so it's a bit if a lifeline. Good luck with the sale mate
  11. Thanks matey 3 weeks for a machine your joking were they making it for you Used to handwashing stuff when lived at my old house so no big deal just time consuming when I have other things I need to get sorted. Just about to pull out the old one this morning and take to the tip
  12. Isn't there a river near you by the name of Mersey? You could take your smalls down there until the new appliance arrives Funny you should mention a nearby river...... Funny my machine broke mid cycle and I was all set to buy a new one. Then I blew back down the waste pipe, then it drained and has worked perfectly since! Did the same at my mates. I blew down the waste pipe and it drained and worked again. Heaps of white baby blanket fluff came out! Nice one Stew it's normally pulleys going , belts stretching or brushes wearing on the motor all easy stuff I just don't have the time to mess with this one - it's about 8 years old anyway. There were mechanical gringing noises so maybe the bearings are on the way out - not to worry I want my Bosch!!
  13. I know it's a pain to happen now but it will be sorted just another job for me. We are ok thanks mate tired but getting there. Poor mite has just been sick so yet more new clothes to change - oh well she is worth every penny and every minute spent with her Hope you 3 are ok ?
  14. Funny you should say that Colin - thats what I've done tonight - it broke mid cycle so was half full of water - had to wring it out - now my skin has reacted with the remains of the washing powder - itching like mad - it never rains.... (or washes in this case)
  15. I know its a bleeding safety programme doodar - I switched it off and on (IT stylie) dallied with the dials and bascially faffed about until it stopped - then switched it off left it for a few mins and with a gentle persuation it popped open, no worries - I am not being beaten by a piece of junk like this! Chris I've already ordered it so too late for deals but handy to know for next time. I intended to replace all my appliances with Bosch just was'nt expecting to start tonight! Never mind nothing wrong with good old fashioned hand washing in the bath. Thanks Guys Nixy this was inherited I had a great Hotpoint unit for 15 years and left it when I moved house - this has boiled my shirts , ruins my jumpers and tonight burnt my hands as I took the load out. This one has a super fast 15 minute cycle so if you need your smalls in a hurry its great for that. Its just a washer - I always prefer seperates personally. Had my Bosch silver fridge for 10 years now excellent quality even survived a double house move - the crappy Electrolux one thats built in with the kitchen is as bad the ones I remember in the 70's as a kid where icebergs form inside! Stew - think babies possess some magical power over electrical objects Ania managed to zap my Iphone battery in 1 afternoon! I did see a yellow car this afternoon could'nt make out the reg but it did look very 350 ish (Beavis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Dave you can use the old one as target practice if you like I can deliver it in the van for you - failing that does anyone have any dynamite I can borrow!
  16. It's good know there's hope You could try to warm up the material with a hairdrier on the outside (cue hairdresser jokes!) or rom the inside, run the engine turn the heat and fan to max with all vents open - windows closed. leave to run until when you touch the fabric on the outside it does'nt feel so cold anymore but really just wait for a sunny dry day - trust me its not as bad as it seems - it will work eventually just have some patience in it
  17. It seems Nixy is not the only one with appliance problems today, our washing machine has decided to give up the ghost this evening. Would'nt even open the door to get the clothes out - had to force it! Think its been over faced with daily baby clothes washing duties - a sock too far! Normally I would try to fix it, I have done enough in the past but this one I've always hated and vowed when it goes it will go to the tip! Hoover cr**! Surfed for a Bosch one online - had some Debenhams vouchers but cant use them for the Kitchen appliances section - no option to pay for it! Typical! Never mind ordered it anyway. Sorry for the rant - lack of sleep and yet more funds vanishing quicker than an unlocked 370z on a chavy estate at night!
  18. Doh never mind sure it turn up sooner or later? ( hope to buy it back for £300! )
  19. Can you remember the number plate at all? Was it an 07 by any chance with lots of Z's in the plate
  20. Timpsons do it for you probably about £30 they can also arrange a mobile call out type guy to fix it on site but that's £100
  21. Oh blimey looks like I have missed some interesting stuff on here this past week! Come on Andy you secretly want one I know it I completely agree with your points re looks I've always disliked the fangs but Colins wrap ( sounds like a cheesy 80's dance tune) is the perfect solution - very GTR and easily removed for selling if required. I am still not 100% sold even of I could buy one but when I did see the blue one at westway Manchester last year it really dated the 06 350z next to it quite badly Mart I didn't realise you were thinking of selling yours? Like you I would probably go for a roadster version - I can live with the rear flagpole I actually didn't like the look of the 350z roadster originally but I was picking up my brand new Rex at the time but you get used to stuff and you mellow about certain things you hated before. Driving is the key, soon as I drive one with the roof off well I was sold big style. The 370 will probably go the same way I don't think it has the same road presence the 350 did but it's more evolutionary rather than - wow look at that beast in your face! The Nismo version does look quite good but Colins White one seems to work well in the standard shape. For us it will probably be the infiniti route with the g37 convertible for pracitcal family reasons but who knows in years to come. Back to the 370 the interior does have a better quality feel but I thought it looked a bit cluttered. There are obvious parts bin specias in there with he rest of the range but even though it's a smaller looking cabin it actually felt bigger inside? The reduced boot is a problem but still after MR2 ownership not a massive hardship. I like the alloys but Colin tells me they are £2k a pop thy is just extortion - Nissan marketing need to get a grip they are not Porsche - stop ripping people off!! Anyway just my 50p's worth
  22. You were missed stan I thought you were coming anyway? Too busy now though i guess... Thanks Chris - unfortunately not - bigger things to worry about - cant believe Ania is a week old already! Maybe the next meet I will be able to swing by in the tank by then - good to see you still have your Zed I have a spare seat for you for wales if you need it mate. Thanks Chris that's really kind of you. We will pop over to Wales to say hi to everyone but won't be going on the run so will see you there anyway mate
