Digsy - yes your motor was still there the previous week right on the front but has gone now - maybe they moved it to another branch or just sold it! Hi - Can you take some pictures and post them up please so we can see the extent of the damage? Sometimes you can polish out scratches on inside surfices and sometimes you can only mask them with stuff like - yes - shoe polish but lets wait for the pictures? I know what you mean about it annoying you my radio was refitted incorrectly its only 1 mm in and not flush but its bugging me just need to suss out how to take it out (slightly different to pre '06 cars?) without wrecking the dash!

I did actually have a proper dabble with the new Iphone last week in the Trauma Centre - I must say after my initial interest I am a little dissapointed at how slow some of the applications were? Even selecting a basic task and the timer is whurring away but maybe thats cause I see that all day at work so - lets see if anyone gives this fancy software a go!

Oh all you closet geeks are appearing in the daylight on the forum!! If I told you all my erm coc* ups! I would need my own personal forum!!! But when I worked on Honeywell Mainframes (there old fart told you) I had to rewrite all the code for a certain high street insurance company to standardise it - so when it fell on its backside is had an auto recover point and also it would be easy to see where it failed so hopefully quickly to fix - well last step was an emergency procedure for restoring the whole program back to before it ran just in case. Took me 12 months to do the whole companies programs - 1 program I had missed off a skip to the end step and well it ran for an hour (it was processing customer invoices) then promptly went to the emergency restore step at the end and restored everything back and the next job ran, rest of schedule finished that night - no one knew this had happend - no failures- the phones were ringing for a very long time the next day and took them a whole days manual paper processing to get everthing aligned again!! Does'nt sound like much these days but 800 branches countrywide .... I was popular then! Ah happy dayes Way I look at it - if you never make mistakes you never learn - I should be right up there with Einstein by now

yes car does feel a bit different - the head mechanic does rave about them in Oldham - he also knows the problems with them (that we all love and hate!) over all they really dont get any real problems with them - he agreed about the rubbish paint being too thin and soft though!! I checked the Night Blue demo on the forecourt again I cant beleive Nissan can let a car off a production line with a full shade out between front bumper and bonnet - come on Plastic primer and paint has been out for years now, we compared the same on a Navara and Xtrail in the car park they were the same the paint shade a mile out!! Really p**s poor in this day and age! Oh well at least I know my front bumper has'nt been resprayed - funny also the gap between boot and rear bumper is slightly offset to one side just like mine - are they employing Chavs on the production lines now!!

Thanks Guys - thats really useful - I am panicing now - !!! My dash is different - also it does'nt look like I need to remove the whole dash like yours as the panel is different on an 07! Hmm they have refitted it for me this morning - they have a demo on the forecourt and they were'nt sure that it fitted flush!!! Anyway its still not right I know I am being fussy but its still a couple of mil out and its going to annoy me - mad I know - so will have a go then later maybe do an updated guide for the later cars - see how heroic I am feeling!! Thanks folks

Sorry did a search for this but cant find it? Its the GT BOSE unit on '07 Bose unit not refitted correctly and its slightly recessed at the top into the dash - I figured out that the cubby above it - you remove the rubber mat and 2x plastic blanking plugs and I can see 2x retaining screws for the Unit inside - however what is the next step to remove - well actually just to move it forward so its set flush in the dash as before?
