  1. Well so far Stew very impressed week 1 (he says in a Big Brother voiceover accent) Went through a number of heavy rain and hail storms this week, lots of oily, dirty water on the motorway behind wagons etc - nice and sunny today - unusually the damn thing still looks clean and has a shine on it ? Fantastic especially as its a dark colour and I have covered 700 miles in it since waxing!
  2. Aye Mart - big lardy Lexus - you will have to ask Big Phil if he mods those also !!
  3. Looks fantastic Tilly! Now you have all that gear on you just need to get yourself off to the Scotland meet to test it out
  4. Beavis - dont ever think that mate - as mentioned never say never one day you will meet the lady of your dreams and this will be a distant memory! Uncle Stan thought of the day.... I think the way the world is these days there are more people who are divorced than are married!!! Oh well theres no hand book is there - just keep trying - if you fall down you have to get up again - buy yourself a nice shiny swirly night blue fast car and keep smiling matey - dont look back! (Have you phoned her back yet? - keep us up to date on the forum!)
  5. The Industry standard Astra Diesel Shed in red by any chance?

  7. I'll send you my lump hammer and angle grinder in the post!!! Seriously hope you get it fixed soon - one of those mobile fixit doodars should be able to sort that for you hopefully quite quickly?
  8. Jay your gonna have to get that bonnet sorted mate - I know Nissan metal is thin but that is taking the p***!! You can see the engine underneath - just think if you drive into a hail storm it would just perforate the bonnet would'nt it!!
  9. Stews a Costco boyo - bulk buying is best eh Stew!! What are you going to do with the other 1.8 ltres of vinegar now? Spray slugs with it in the garden? Wonder if you can mix it chippy oil and make your own petrol?
  10. The obligatory tartan rug also - oh Mart where's your Morris minor? Or is that with the roof down on the Zed in winter? Bet you smoke a pipe then - got to fit in with the image - a Deerstalker would be good also!
  11. Coincidentally!! http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... 686#219686 I got an Aldi polisher £12 - great on my van but dont have the guts to try it on the Zed?? Well not yet ....
  12. Ha ha ha I thought about before and after pics but as I finished the last panel then the heavens opened with that wonderful sand infested dirty rain so the whole car is covered in dried on dirty rain marks!!! Oh well will hose it down...again!! I did forget to do the top of the windscreen bar - I could use that as a comparison I suppose?
  13. Thanks to Stew for recommending this wax - Tried it yesterday for the first time Polished off the paint with Mer - and applied the wax - Got to be the easiest wax I have ever applied, as its a hard wax I hardly used any of it so should last for years Dead easy to use literally wax on wax off!!! http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/cgi-bin/ ... BF12#aBF12 Seems to work particularly well on dark paint like mine - really showing off the pearl in the blue paint - Its actually made the front stone chipped bumper look half decent and seems to hide a lot also - even dare I say it my swirl marks in places - however I shoudl really get them polished out properly 1 day and reapply this wax. Lets see how it pans out long term will let you know Oh and Poorboys wheel wax is also the best - really deep shine on the alloys - fantastic stuff folks thanks for the recommendations!
  14. Sorry to hear about the Zed mate but these things happen. Bet those tyre marks are still on that car park in Trafford where you scared the pants off me!!! All the best for the future matey and say hi once in a while :bye:
  15. Nice one mate - I tried a dark grey crayon but it did'nt seem to do the trick but black does ? odd eh? I am still looking for other options re: paint or even Epoxy - will let you know once I have found what I need! We might even find a solution to that dent of yours?

  19. well form the other guide I based mine on the only difference is the plastic cover you just have to clip out and take the satnav out? Cant really be that much harder? If your near Manchester (I keep saying this!! ) I am happy to pop round and give you a hand taking it out? But your in Bath so erm nooo
  20. Hiya well it took me a while as I was being very careful and taking pics for a guide but it should take you no more than 30 mins and only 2 screwdrivers required - as I mentioned before - its been designed not thrown together - just give it a go - if you take it to Nissan its going to cost you about £300 in labour costs!! for 30mins work!! Trust me its straightforward to do http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15532 good luck and let us knwo how you get on
  21. I saw a Nemo on the motorway yesterday - looks nice and rounded off - probably break down at the first corner though!! MART DONT BUY THE PORKER - MONEY PITT!! People will spit at it and call you names!! Your too tall for it anyway its a toy car!!
