  1. Well funny you should say that it's crossed my mind also. Let's see it could be the game changer we have all waited for but worries me if the reaction runs away how will they stop it? Pull the plug out? Take the 3a fuse out?
  2. Do you like the comments ' scientists almost sure the calculations are correct', using superconducting , it's like we did the maths it should work but I am not saying it definitely will? I just hope fiat don't make the electrics or they use Lucas connectors.
  3. https://www.livescience.com/nuclear-fusion-reactor-sparc-2025.html Do you think it will actually happen this century or will there be yet another delay?
  4. I suppose it ultimately came from the E Type but I actually prefer the Toyota 2000GT.
  5. Oh yes forgot about that one. We have a lot to thank the person who invented the Coke Bottle.
  6. Look at it, well it looks fab from rear 3/4 front and back but a little too elongated from the side I think? You can forget your autonomous rubbish but purely from a design perspective! Wowsers pig to park in a multi-storey though? https://www.yankodesign.com/2020/09/30/jaguar-consul-is-an-autonomous-coupe-way-ahead-of-its-time/ Remember the Infiniti Essence that was a concept and a half? Typical Infiniti makes something gorgeous like that and not build it! I think their business model is how can we continue to make boring looking cars for the US market and stay afloat? Then - will it wont it Maserati Alfieri? There is a similar design thread isn't there? Coke bottle shapes.
  7. I had a Rex 231 when they came out and coincidentally there was a new 350z ragtop in the same showroom, sales guy didn't like the Zed said it was a tank. Obviously it was a Mazda showroom soo..... anyway had the Rex just as a daily driver. I loved it great on long trips, fun on corners never had a 4 seater car with a boot that stuck like glue, but for a car where you check the oil on a regular basis why you had to take that damn cover off everytime and had the stick well inside the engine bay! I do miss the washing machine on fast spin noise. The 350 came later coincidentally a ragtop and yes it's a different game all together. It's a bit of a bruiser compared to the Rex Gazelle. Great GT car isn't bothered by anything, heavy car, better on fuel than Rex but interior not as good as Mazda's. You will love it if you get one. Miss both of them great cars.
  8. Aha do made for others I assumed it was their own product? Must be cost effective for them ?
  9. That's actually a cool graphic. Good spot. I do think some people have a LOT of time on their hands to create that but it's kind of relaxing in the same way watching fish swimming in a fish tank is. Question: What cars does Canada make? I know they make public transport especially those yellow school buses but cars? Also Belgium? What do they make other than chips, mayo and waffles to state obvious stereotypes.
  10. Just rip the fugly bumpers and kit off look 200% better without them. Even one of those Mitsuoki MK2 Jag on a Micra kits would improve it now end.
  11. Sorry I was browsing and just had a look at Zeds! So not such a fresh import anymore? Maybe looking like a 1990s Honda puts people off? To be fair its still a better panel fit than my Stang!
  12. What is a Kenstyle body kit? Ken and Barbie Ken? Look at the wheels superb! https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/7942753?cId=10878968&cId=7942753&cId=10885125&cId=10770785&cId=10848612&cId=10871440&cId=10871308&cId=10848106&cId=10400536&cId=10300572&cId=10312397&cId=10897095&cId=10815198&cId=10851669
  13. The Zed still looks pretty damn cool and my all time fave alloys on it too.
  14. Hi - glad to hear you are ok. I know its the strangest year. Sadly we all had it early on in April thankfully mild symptoms but it just made us consider a few things, like what would happen to Ania if both of us were not here. Anyway there will be no virus can ever catch you Colin you are too fast and never use your footbrake Ooh sorry I cant see signatures when on a mobile, just seen it now via a browser. Caymen nice, they handle superbly I borrowed Lucy's once for work trip to Scotland and came home via the highlands (ahem!) but she had issues with it and a second one, they were the older model I expect the newer one is better but just keep an eye on it. Stay safe you 2 and lets all pray next year will be a better one for all of us.
  15. They will probably just use the hybrid tech from Infiniti, which has been around for years now, it's there to boost power not fuel efficiency but they never tell the government that, sneaky. The Z p will probably be the very last of that type and be around for 10 years as you say. They won't want to spend money on yet another by which time the focus will probably be on milkfloat tech completely by then.
  16. Hi Colin good to hear from you. I hope you and June are well? Still got the Merc? I know there was a lot of fab stuff on here. I could just repost all the images from the meets we had as an archive but as I said it would kill the server. Photobucket was just greedy and wanted money for everything. Shame.
  17. Haha that's funny mine is a big fat blue elephant on the drive also. At some point we need to sort out the ex zed owners stang meet ( post pandemic obviously!)
  18. Oh dear seems to be a more common issue than you think? My Roberts Dab radio is about the same age and known for the same issue. I don't trash it just site on the window sill and now it looks like a spotty teenager. I will recover it in thin vinyl at some point. Super thin real leather is best but if you go for leatherette or vinyl maybe go for perforated like headlining in VW vans for example (obviously not white!!) Although not sure if that affects acoustics?. Best sewing slowly by hand although I think that shape will be a pig to copy, especially as your original is falling to bits?
  19. Looks great. I have to say a lot had cool Zed related plates too. Do you still have the Stang?
  20. Poverty spec Chris? I don't think so? You modded it to it's teeth didn't you?
  21. Haha thank you kind Sir. I have a lot more but don't want to drown the club server think I have done enough of that over the years.
  22. Thanks Andy feels like a century ago. Wonder how many of those cars are now reincarnated washing machines?
  23. Thanks it was like a car park sometimes. Amazingly good weather for most of those meets got to love that global warming it's ace
  24. After seeing Lexx's return I dug out some pics from old meets. I just thought you might like to see. Wales, Carlisle, Scotland, Manchester. I miss the old tank but 2 seaters don't fit when there are 3 of you! I saw it for sale on autorader by chance a few years ago shod with Bolivian remoulds This club has always been special to me and of course I met my other half here too! Not always online here but dip in every now and again see what's going on. Who would have thought to drive to a carpark or field to talk about cars, then drive somewhere to come back and drive home - would be fun!
