  1. Haha My first spotted Who took that then? It was at the Penn Inn after the Exeter Meet on Sunday with a few friends
  2. Not doubting your above points at all mate, its amazing the technology employed today. I was just saying that in my opinion and experience, having some chance of warning from a laser device is better than none, without mine, i couldve picked up points and a fine also. As said, i combine my radar and laser detector with a GPS based set up for optimum safety, covering all bases. The only guarenteed defense is not to exceed the posted limit in the first place, but for those moments when we accidently do, its nice to be pre-warned if at all possible
  3. I use a Snooper S5 along with GPS locations via my sat nav. The Snooper is an old model but has served me well over the years I disagree with this statement. They also pick up laser scatter. It may not be ideal, but could be enough to give you a few seconds warning, making all the difference if you happen to have strayed over the posted limit. This has certainly been my experience on at least 2 occasions
  4. Thanks guys, glad you approve Have to say im not a fan of the stubby aeriels and like the look of the standard one, so it will be staying
  5. Well, i spent all afternoon Saturday giving the car a decent polish and wax, but it was dark by the time i finished Seeing the weather was nice today, i met up with a DC2 owning friend and went for a jaunt across Dartmoor Fantastic fun to finally give the new toy a proper run.....unfortunately it was quite busy and we didnt come across any oppertunities to take any pics whilst there, so came back to town and took a few pics of the cars. Forgive my amateur skills, it appears that there was a little too much light for the 'idiots user settings' i had on my camera, and the pics appear a little over exposed/bleached, so the brilliant colour of the Zed hasnt really come across, but you can still get a good idea of the condition of the car and its paint, enjoy And heres some of the better ones that my friend with the DC2 took
  6. Hey Dave. Did you ask the guys to do this for you, or did they just do it anyway? I hadn't even considered the question of underseal on the car, it's just something I always took for granted. I'm a bit concerned that because I never raised the subject with Tristan, they might not have bothered with doing it! what do I need to look for under the car? Carleton When i asked Mike he said its done as part of the conversion for them, so yours should be done also
  7. Hi Ricki. Depending on who imported your car, some places do it as part of the conversion process. The company i used for my Zed and my Skyline before, had it done, best get yours on a ramp and have a quick gander, you may be lucky If not, i wouldnt have thought it would cost more than £100-150 ish to have done at your garage
  8. Cheers Carleton, we'll have to meet up seeing we're pretty close in location....fancy coming to the Exeter Jap Performance meet at Exeter service on the first Sunday of the month at 2pm mate? Im usually in attendance and its a good group of like minded enthusiasts
  9. Looks fantastic mate, loving the private plate too
  10. Strangely it looked wonky in one of the original pics i recieved of the car in Japan, but it must just be the angle the pic was taken at as its straight as you like in the metal
  11. Thanks all, im chuffed to bits with it Sorry about that
  12. Blimey, thats almost identical to mine...wont be selling though
  13. Thanks for the kind words everyone Cheers for the words of warning, will tread carefully to start with although she should be a pussy cat coming from a 400+bhp RWD Skyline!! The holes house the JDM factory option nose cameras. They are designed to give you a visual when pulling out from a blind junction etc The car also has the factory reverse camera, all of which im hoping to wire into my new sat nav and touchscreen monitor setup
  14. Well, went over to Torque GT to have my first look and drive of my imported Fairlady Z, and what can i say, simply stunning!!!!! The car is beautiful and the colour is sooooo deep you think you could drown in it. The wheels are in perfect condition and unmarked too The interior is like brand new and in perfect condition, other than the nav cubby which im replacing to fit an aftermarket setup anyway, and the gear knob which is a bit worn, looks like ring wear and will replace this myself. The test drive.......WOW!!!! Feels so tight, id imagine like a brand new car......although to be fair, its only just turned 20,000miles The car has both sets of keys, the locking wheel nut key, Japanese service history, the original Japanese handbook. The clocks and milage are all converted to Miles and MPH too. If you are thinking of importing a car but are unsure of the process, or who to use, you need to give Torque GT a bell. They have made the whole process so easy, keeping me upto date with things as they progress, and sourcing and supplying me with a car of the best quality. The car has picked up a couple of door dings which werent on the auction sheet somewhere between Japan and here, and they are taking care of these too so i get exactly what i expected and paid for. Cant rate them highly enough, and a big thank you to Mike at Torque for dealing with everything, you are truely a star Anyway, enough of me babbling, here she is.........
  15. Used Nengun alot with my Skyline build. Great savings to be made, honest outfit, but beware as mentioned above, email only communication and delivery times can vary. Ive had stuff turn up in a week, and some stuff take a month.
  16. Hi guys. Im after the centre cubby finisher for my 52 plate JDM Zed. Anyone got one kicking about that they want to sell, or if anyone can supply one, then please let me know Many thanks Dave

  20. Yup. Look pretty similar to these... http://www.performancealloys.com/detail ... =132222510 Close, but id say they were BBS RX's http://www.performancealloys.com/detail ... =132222722 Same as on mine. Think they look great
  21. Now thats funny!! Best bit is, youre now up bright and relatively early to make the most of the day
  22. I think the car looks great....but is it KITT?? Tall order, but it could work, depends on all the other 'new stuff' in the film. Hope they dont completely destroy a classic by revamping it
