  1. I can do the artwork for you if you want a custom one. The company doesn't have the 40th Anniversary artwork as that was a couple of hours of my own handiwork
  2. Yeah, you can, but the prices obviously go up a bit
  3. I think you're still at risk if your certificate says the wrong capacity. There must be a correct entry on the DB as Admiral found it for me. It's your responsibility at the end of the day to ensure that all info is accurate.
  4. Cost? They can't keep making a special edition to 2010 spec. Even if relatively little has changed between model years, it's asking for trouble during manufacture to mix and match parts on the production line. Plus it dilutes the whole special edition idea to spread them over more than one model year.
  5. Update. I just checked askmid.com and this is what it says: If you have a black and it doesn't say that then I'd advise you get it changed [EDIT] So I guess it's the same as everyone else, except my engine size is spot on.
  6. Now, I had this argument with Admiral on the phone. They _insisted_ the details were correct or they wouldn't put me on cover point blank (I told them I wished I hadn't said anything, lol). They had 2 entries for the car, one was correct, the other was not. The one they seem to choose first is the incorrect one. Just double checked my certificate and it does have the correct engine capacity and is listed as a "370 Black Edition 40" - not sure if that is truncated and should read 40th Anniversary, but that's what it says on the certificate. I wouldn't take any chances with insurance.
  7. Indeed. I wonder if 370 were made for Europe. I know we all have plaques saying x of 370... but I'm not convinced they were all actually made. Is there any way we can find out?
  8. Group buy finishes on 28th Feb as stated in first post above. But we don't have enough people for the discount yet anyway. 2 more required.
  9. Here are mine, now just waiting for the boot mat:
  10. Surely the gridlines are in the software on the AV unit, not anything to do with the camera. Don't they curve with steering input, etc? I have my kit all ready to fit, just need to do some soldering on a custom line out harness from the AV unit so I only take the dash apart once Past experience has told me that having multiple goes at the dash will lead to nothing but rattles and squeaks
  11. They're not even on the dealer price list any more. So yeah, he probably has no idea what he's talking about
  12. Yeah, I was only prepared to go so far with it before I got worried about potentially blistering the paint, heat guns are for stripping paint after all. How resilient is car paint? Even the water wasn't boiling (although very hot). I wonder if it will still work after taking to it with a DA though.
  13. Right. I drove up to the Brecon Beacons at the weekend with a model to take some photos (not of the car yet). Unfortunately she wasn't as careful with the paintwork as I might have been getting bags and what have you out of the boot. So I had a couple of very light scuffs on the paint to deal with on Sunday. The scuffs could not be felt by fingernail so were very light indeed. I decided I would give them a wipe down with 50% IPA and pour some hot water on them and see if Scratchguard would do its stuff. It didn't. And neither did my GF's fancy hairdryer. In the end I got the DA out and gave it a go with some Menz 106FA on a finishing pad. This got rid of the scuffs but revealed some slightly deeper imperfection underneath. I left the correction at that until I have enough to warrant a full correction on the whole car. They are totally unnoticeable marks unless you catch the light on them very close up anyway so I'm not worried. It now has 3 layers of Zaino Z2 finished with Z8 Grand Finale sealant. Looks cracking I did take some pics but I'm at work and they're on the camera at home. The car certainly turns heads. Most noticeable is people on motorways and dual carriageways closing on you from behind and them moving to overtake you before hanging back to take a good look. Happened several times on Saturday. Also when you are at traffic lights, people gawping at the car I think trying to work out what it is
  14. Panic over, stealer was wrong I'm actually no. 133. Received plaque in post today.
  15. I think it's called rolling. Grinding is where you actually rub up against someone
  16. Guys, no need to maintain an ordering list, I'm doing it for you in the second post in this thread REMEMBER: I just need the style, and if it's style 4, 5 or 6, your build number. I don't need colour because you will choose that when you order online from laser-grave.
  17. I've created a new thread for this to comply with forum rules and to tidy up the thread. Please show your interest in the new thread here: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=45212 Thanks guys. Mods, feel free to lock this/delete as you see appropriate.

  19. This is an opportunity to buy both plain and customised tax disk holders for the 370z. The disks are genuine Richbrook Twist-off holders and come directly to you in a Jiffy type postal bag with clear sticky pads for fitting included. The disks are laser engraved by a company called laser-grave. The quality of the work is outstanding. For clarity, I have no connection with the company whatsoever, they just looked a good option when I was looking to have a disk made up for myself. The 40th Anniversary artwork has been done by myself, the 370z logo (both 370z an the single Z) are from a license free source. The disks are available in several colours and you can place an order for any combination of colour and logo. I have come up with a few combinations of logos for both Black Edition owners and regular 370z owners. The list price for a custom disk is £19.99 including postage. The disks are sourced and customised in the UK so there are no further charges to pay if the delivery address is in the UK. This group buy will close on February 28th. This is mainly because for custom disks I will be producing the artwork that you will then submit to laser-grave with your order, out of the goodness of my heart So given that I don't want to be doing it all year The group-buy prices include postage to your address and are as follows: [*:3hgd830v]10+ orders - £14 including postage [*:3hgd830v]20+ orders - £13 including postage As an example of the quality, I have had two disks made up and the black looks the best. Here is what it looks like when done: Here is the range of colours, from left to right, black, silver, blue, titanium, pink: The following logo styles are available. STYLE 1 - Plain Z Logo: STYLE 2 - Plain Nissan 370z Logo: STYLE 3 - Plain 40th Anniversary Logo: STYLE 4 - Custom Nismo Style 40th Anniversary Logo: STYLE 5 - Custom Black Edition 40th Anniversary Logo: STYLE 6 - Custom 40th Anniversary Logo: Please reply with the style you want if you are definitely interested (don't forget to include your build number if you're ordering style 4, 5 or 6) and I will add you to the list in the following post. I don't need to know the colour, you will be able to specify that when you order from laser-grave. Once we have 10 disks I will start producing the artwork for everyone who has shown an interest and make the file available to you. After the closing date I will ask laser-grave to put up a special order section on their website where you can submit the artwork I have provided and choose the colour you would like. Phew, long post
  20. Hi guys, dealer has put my new plaque in the post today I'm Quartz No. 177
  21. Guys, quick update on this, I'm still waiting on Laser-grave to get back to me on the fonts/custom text question. Will update as soon as I know.
  22. I think you might be right there actually... I had the limiter on the other day playing about with it and I remember it cancelling. I reckon it's because I pressed the kick down.
  23. I just realised I need the opposite to those connectors rather than the connector itself, which might make it harder. So if the loom terminates in a female connector, I need the male. I'm sort of hoping these are standard connectors manufactured by someone like AMP.
