Do any Black Edition owners have a close-up photo of the 40th Anniversary logo on either the hatch or front brace? I want to see if I can trace it and turn it into a vector suitable for engraving on an aluminium tax disk holder. There are plenty of photos of the leather seats on t'interweb but it's not so easy to trace from there. Would very much appreciate it and maybe once I've done the design we could do a group buy if there's enough interest. They will probably be about £15 - £20 each from what I can gather.

You pay it (you could take a loan for this or cash if you have it), and own the car. Or you use any equity in the car as a deposit via part exchange on a new car. Or you hand the car back to Nissan with nothing more to pay.

Around the 18k mark, can't remember exactly off the top of my head. Main thing is we are never likely to be in negative equity on it.

Ahh, I wondered if it was you, given you said you were very interested earlier in the thread. Sorry I should say that the finance is PCP and based on 24 months and 6k miles per annum.

Okay guys, big thanks to Chris for his excellent sleuthing. Deposit has been placed and 0% finance auto-approved on the very last (apparently) unregistered Black Edition (in Quartz). The 0% PCP deposits have gone up to 30% for 2011! It was an interesting buying experience as it seems we were in competition with another member from here (sorry dude, whoever you are) and NMGB themselves. They had requested the car be returned to them yesterday morning, no reason given, which is very interesting! List price had risen £950 for 2011 but I got it for 2010 price plus a significant discount, which was a surprise given the competition, all I basically did was ask for it and I got it. So in the end it's 9,700 down and £200 a month. Cheap as chips, as far as free money can get any cheaper Once again, thanks Chris, the missus owes you a big kiss Pics to follow on delivery

Motorline are now saying the same, no stock (and, confusingly, he was able to do a national stock lookup, but whether that was all dealers or just motorline I don't know)... looking highly unlikely that there are still new Black Editions out there in the channel. He also said if I wanted a regular GT with Orange leather that it would be a 6 month wait for a factory order! Really? That can't be true can it? The problem I have is that the car isn't really needed, it will be a second car anyway, so I want it to be right. I might just wait for the next special edition and hope I like it.

I phoned Nissan Customer Service. Guy told me it was a frequent question (about national dealer stock) and that they had no idea what the dealers had in stock! I was quite shocked to be honest. So basically he said it's up to me to phone them all :o Madness.

Well, unless the dealers are fibbing just to get me to buy an alternative, there are none left. One dealer phoned Nissan to confirm because the Black is no longer on the price list. I asked the other if there were any in national dealer stock and he said no and they hadn't been able to get them since last July. I don't believe the July bit, but still... Maybe I should phone Nissan myself directly to see about dealer stock.

Yep, fraid so. Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Rent and the central government grants make up the vast majority of council funding - with the exception of rent this is all taxation. Council Tax actually only makes up about a quarter of it, so most if it comes from central government through general taxation and business rates. Sure, there are other minor incomes from parking and parking charges but a lot of these "services" are outsourced anyway - the council doesn't do too much of the collection. Even rent these days is largely outsourced through managing agents. The fundamental principle remains that the vast majority of the cash councils spend comes from taxation and it's bloomin easy to collect compared to having to actually sell something to make your money. It's not like you have a choice whether you pay taxes or not is it?

Good point, at those discount levels, it would be better getting a more normal finance deal! Wonder what sort of discount you can get off a Black!

Yeah, I wondered that. But I also heard the reason they have this offer is because they are desperate to shift zeds because they're not selling too well. Gotta be a worth a robust chat with a sales droid Buyers market at the moment for sure.

Funny thing is, with public sector chief execs, etc. The whole argument about needing to get the best people from the private sector to manage and so pay the going rate is a load of cobblers! There's one very simple reason why it's cobblers. In the private sector, the chief exec has two principle roles. 1. To bring the money in, and; 2. To make sure they don't spend it all running the operation and hence generate profits and a dividend for shareholders. The public sector only does half a job. They don't have to worry about bringing the money in at all, there's no selling to be done, they just demand tax from us. All they are really managing is the spending side of the business. So why then, do they need to pay top whack for someone to do roughly half the job!?

Hey guys, my misses is thinking of getting a 370z Black and we noticed that there is a 0% finance deal on at the moment directly with Nissan. Does anyone know off the top of their head if it applies to all the 370z models including the Black? Obviously we'll pop down to the local performance stealer (Ancaster Bromley) at the weekend to check it out but just wondered if you guys knew.

Otherwise you can download the ones you like. As far as aftercare is concerned, I've been snowfoaming it, rinsing with a pressure washer and then drying (with a Megs drying towel). I follow this with a coat of Zaino 6 or 8 or both depending on how I'm feeling, applied using microfibre cloths. Is this OK? It doesn't seem to have been dirty enough to shampoo (I have some Megs Gold class shampoo) as after snowfoam and rinse it appears spotless! Cheers, M

Is this the same Bryan that did mine 3 weeks or so back If so, Nissan are finally sorting the paintwork. Rear spoiler was water contamination at the factory. Both wings are to be resprayed. Had thickness measured all over, between 90 and 110 everywhere, very consistent so that's good. Once it's been resprayed would you be able to do the same job again, just so we can start afresh!! :o

I have had a horrendous experience with Park's Motor Group based in Hamilton! Truly awful, to the extent that I have a brand new (!) 350z sitting downstairs that I've rejected. The story starts with a promised delivery of my shiny zed on Tuesday 4th September. Date comes and goes but they request insurance details so they can register it, promising it the following week. I arrange temporary insurance. Date comes and goes, now explaining the car as at the docks having Trackstar fitted. They request insurance again because they didn't have the car before my previous insurance ran out. I'm mad but have no choice and they agree to fit parking sensors for my inconvenience. I go on hols (which was why I was so keen to get it) and they arrange delivery for today. Delivery driver phones up last night asking if I could do him a favour and collect it from him (approx. 15 - 20 miles away). I agree although nervous it's at night. I immediately notice scuff marks on the front bumper. He then proceeds to take out some T-cut and try to rub it out!! Creating a nice set of swirlmarks in the process. I'm not happy. I write on the delivery note that I am not accepting until I see the car in daylight. It has been raining today but it has just eased off a little. I went out and took a look. It has clearly had a VERY bad respray done. So bad there is a clear stripe across the rear of the car where it has been masked and painted with the WRONG colour! I've told the finance company I'm rejecting it.

I got LU57 STS for the girlfriend to put on our new zed when it arrives on the 8th. It has been a bloody mission. Was initially due to be delivered on the 3rd of this month :o Managed to get reverse parking sensors thrown in for free for the hassle and delay in delivery

But as the kickpanel builds will be over the top of that, will there still be room between the kick panel build and the accelerator.

New black is called Ebisu apparently I ordered an 07 Kuro and got told the colour wasn't available :o
