  1. Just found this on the HSV forum.... 800bhp http://www.hsv.org.uk/topic.asp?t=458699&f=69&h=27
  2. Used to be G2 I thought. I think I've seen every Top Gear in the last 5 years at least 3 times
  3. His loss mate, she'll go eventually
  4. I felt like i was, not being able to drive. Got my license back on xmas day and was the only person razzing about in my car with a paper xmas hat on You know you can take the hat off now yeah?? I hope he gets treated exacly the same as anyone else that gets caught breaking the law in that situation, in fact even a bit firmer due to his position!! The cynical side of me expects him to get away with it or off very lightly Ordinary policeman tend to get treated worse than the general public as they are supposed to know better. However, I'd imagine when you reach ivory towers statsus all that goes out the window
  5. Good luck with the sale, point them my way if they are looking for 19s
  6. agreed they can look good but on a standard car i'm not so sure, the car has to be ott to carry it off imo i wouldnt imagine considering the size of the market for these that there are many manufacturers to choose from, can you name a good/bad one ? Andy is probably the best man to speak to on this. zedrush also had them on his first car. You basically get what you pay for in then end. Agree they would look naff on a standard car.
  7. They look good IMO, but there a good manufacturers of these and there are very very bad ones
  8. No it's not.... It's an automatic, god I forgot how bad they were. There is like at least 1 inch travel in the accelerator before anything actually happens. One inch in the Monaro is warp drive
  9. PM me with any ideas mate and I'm sure I can put something together Cheers Jay, yours are too
  10. That cuts deep man.... kick a man whilst he is down Got SAAB until at least Tuesday now ......think I may head up north on Sunday for a drive
  11. I never fill my car up for a number of reasons. Firstly, if stolen it can be driven further Secondly, what is the point of going for super light wheels and other weight saving carbon components and then sticking approximately 60kg (based on 80 litre tank) worth of weight in the fuel tank. Unefficient too as you are shipping around dead weight and not helping mpg.
  12. I think these season has shown that he was not as outstanding a driver as some thought...
  13. I'd say he say he is spot on TBH, maybe a slight exageration. He does say he had 170mph, which is totally achievable. The problem is nobody really knows the top speed of these cars, mine is apparently good for 180mph, but you need to find a long enough stretch of road. I could easily wind it up to 150-160 I'd say. I think the guy posts on the HSV site, nice looking car.

    MPG....

I used to be permenently on 23.9mpg - Mixture of Dual Carriageway, Lead foot and A roads On my trip south last year I got 32mpg My current car (when active ) makes the z look like a diesel in comparison
  16. Part on order...hopefully the right part Apparently a known and not too uncommon issue. Basically heater hose chaffs of cylinder head. A letter is being written.
  17. Ordered my xbox tonight Woolworths - Premium + Fifa08, Forza2, Halo 3 & Harry Potter = £295 delivered
  18. Good info and customer focus Steve/Phil
  19. Well after coming home last night I decided to nip back out for something only to find all the coolant on the ground. It was peeing out it! On investigating the matter in the dark, I think it is a heater hose at the back of the engine. Accessability a nightmare! Tow truck came and picked her up today and after about 10 phone calls, I found a Vauxhall dealer who knew what kind of car it was and could do the work.... what a joke! Never had one thing go wrong with the Z! Anyway I'm totally pi55ed off as I've had the car exactly 1 month today! On the up side I've got a SAAB Aero just now....for how long who knows as parts are a bit of an issue on this car, but if it's a hose then surely it shouldn't be that big an issue.... then again Off now to cry some more
