  1. He's going to Denmark today for a week but does have a website.
  2. Hello and welcome. As for the colour - I like all of them, the orange looks great but then I loved the orange focus ST when that came out and now I think it's a bit common - can't see the Z having that problem for a while though - different league.
  3. If they've had to declare it stolen recovered then it will be on the HPI when you want to get rid of it too. So unless it's an absolute bargain I would steer clear.
  4. Are they bringing a car over and making a profit on it? I've used JM-imports (now a member on here) and am paying a flat fee, no profit is being made by them on the car. I've got a little while yet before I get the car but so far it has been a problem free process with absolutely no hidden charges and I've paid 15,100 for a 2003 with only 9000 km on the clock and its a grade 5 which is new condition. I also had the opportunity of looking at the cars myself first until I found one I liked. I could probably have gone out and bought one by now with that money instead of still waiting but I did get exactly what I wanted colour wise etc so that's why I did it this way. Welcome by the way!
  5. I think the Z looks great in all the colours despite everyone teasing each other about it. I do think the brighter colours stand out more when you drive past them but they're all good........................except yellow.................. Seriously though, i've seen a couple of red ones and they look stunning - and I don't usually like red cars.
  6. I know exactly the type you're talking about!
  7. what you mean is, you can't get the ladies to look when you're in the volvo..........
  8. very good, and of course logical!
  9. You'll probably still beat me to it and I found mine in March! Well done! Awesome colour too.
  10. Zelda?!! You're as daft as me with Henry Honda. Good news on the mot though.
  11. any decent company should offer you the opportunity for feedback anyway.
  12. The yellow would lower the tone of my driveway, however, if you come by bus I'll think about it!
  13. What a lame reason! Did the job go internally by any chance? If that was the only reason they could give you then you probably did well and they'd already decided who they wanted before the interview!
  14. come and stay at my house for an extortionate fee? It's hard for me to recommend hotels as I don't actually stay in any of them but there's lots of typical type places on the outskirts i.e holiday inns etc. The Monkbar hotel is nice and has parking and is a a short walk from town centre and not far from lots of nice italian restaurants and minster. Ive heard it's quite reasonable. http://www.monkbarhotel.co.uk/ A really nice place is the jarvis hotel http://www.ramadajarvis.co.uk/hotel/ove ... otel_id=72
  15. ah I see! The guy at the insurance company said he would accept a letter from the importer stating that, so that's ok then if that's the case.
  16. what a set of muppets. I haven't checked to see if I got the refund but it's bloody funny if I did - they've actually let me advertise my car for free for 3 weeks!
  17. What does Cat 1 actually mean? What is the difference between this and a bog standard factory alarm on other cars? It must be better in some way if insurance companies demand it like mine did.
  18. But it was an ebay CLASSIFIED ad so there was no bidding anyway.
  19. I advertised my CTR on ebay under a classified ad so there was no bidding process or buy it now it was simply an advert with the details, price and my phone number. The advert was approx £15 for 4 weeks. I had lots of enquiries but actually sold the car to a friend of a friend. I therefore edited the ad to say sold. Anyway, bizarrely today I had an email from ebay to say they had removed my ad due to me infringing the rules of ebay. I had broken the rules by putting the words “sensible offersâ€
  20. Christian was recommend to me from someone on another Jap site who has used him before. I believe he specialises in the jap side of things. He knew his stuff about Alarms, vin numbers, importing etc. I phoned the normal office number and they asked if I had been recommended a particular advisor so I just said it was him I wanted to speak to. They are a broker and put me with Highway insurance. Don't know if I would have got it cheaper direct but it saved me any hassle over insuring on the Vin etc because he's sorted all that out for me. He did seem fairly flexible on a few things.
  21. Agreed. I've had lots of advice off there and bought loads of gear from clean and shiny.
  22. What a cheek! But I have been called worse!
