What they didnt tell you was like the zed, they had a prototype version of the SV, which wasnt even finished, however Topgear insisted they had the car anyway. What does Clarkson do, slate its poor build! Its wasnt finished!

They did, but they were not finsihed, some had no engine, some had unfinished interior, there were only a few fully finished SV's that were sold through the auction and they still went for about £50k

I was going to ask the same actually, part are available as its a ford V8 and parts taken from other manufactures. Xpower (S&R) are no longer though so you will have to try and find parts yourself, but the MG SV forum guys are really helpful and there are some great engineers on there that can carry the work out and source parts for you. THey are a very nice small community that help each other out a lot. I dont think you will find one for £25k to be honest as they are around £40k plus still if you look on the forum.. EIther that or its the old promo SV which i DO NOT recommend you get as it had a crash during the shoot of the promo video and damaged the bodywork and put a big line in the CF bonnet. Also - you can get the guys on the forum to source a supercharger for you and you will see a HUGE gain, plus add NOS and you will be around 1000bhp Yes there is someone with that and its RAPID!

Ive been in an SV and believe me they turn so many heads! All Carbon fibre, RWD, V8, but not that fast! the SV 0-60 5.6 SV-R 4.9. I love the interior and the finish, plus the LOOKS! Its the ultimate ASW car in my eyes. few pics from the one i went in as i know the guy
