  1. Beat you by 2 years Jim About the same time as when the 1812 overture was recorded.
  2. OK Dumbly here you go You can stay with 5w 40 or use 5w 30 which is what I use. I think what you have is semi synthetic but is doesn't matter as you can mix it anyway. Check it when its cold and add a smallish amount at a time. As a guide, when on the min mark it will take 1 ltr to bring it up to the max.
  3. Danny. The car looks great and a good colour choice too.
  4. I don't know of anyone who's taken delivery of an 07MY yet
  5. Disapointing but fully appreciate the reasons. Looking forward to next year already.
  6. Hi Greg and You may be able to get an 06MY model for the upper end of your budget. This will give you the benefit of the 296bhp engine which is the same as the GT4, but with the newer interior, lights and front bumper.
  7. Hi and Like Digsy says, first service at 9000 miles/9months and includes an oil and filter change. I've not had any experience of changing the gearbox oil to fully sync and am not ware of any problems with the gearbox that would warrant the change.
  8. Thanks for the heads up on this dude, I'll give them a try when mine need replacing which won't be long now.
  9. Good pics Stuey. I bet it sounds nice too with the Acropovic cans.
  10. Adam you're a bad ass dude tempting us with all these goodies

Would just love one of these
  12. It's quite likely that this was a corporate decision by Dixons to withdraw from the motor trade altogether and that Nissan will already have new franchises for these areas waiting to take over.
  13. If you see an Allegro, give it a fooking good kicking for me. As you may guess, I have real bad memories of them.
  14. Oddly enough, the engines we have seen this issue on so far have been pre Rev Up. The way forward is to find the cause methinks Actually, 3 steps for Nissan. 1A. Find the cause (practicable and probably done). 1B. Design the cause out of future builds (practicable and probably done). 2. For pre-existing builds, own up to the fact that there is a problem and instigate remedial action (not likely ) This last factor is certainly the case in my experience. My stealer informed me that the accepted tolerance was up to 1ltr per 1000 miles oil consumption.
  15. No wonder they have a reputation for being boring when they churn out fugly stuff like this.
  16. I would also be quite happy to delay a decision until nearer the time. The forecast will be much more accurate if we were to leave it until the week before.
  17. Good price. Where did you get them from? Let us know what you think once you've tried them
  18. Steve. Nixy is up in York and imported hers recently so I'll wait for her give you the details.
  19. Hi Scotty and I'm not aware of any issues with the tiptronics, but I guess there will be others along soon with more experience than me with them. As for prices, you will get a JDM for less money than a UK car and likewise ones without GT packs go for less. There are quite a few out there for sale just choose carefully.
  20. It would indeed and would go some way to explaining the reason why my MY06 has used approx 0.5 ltr per 1000 miles since day one and now on 12,000 miles is still maintaining that level of consumption.
