    thanks mate for the help, but i've got the pilot sports on now. seem like a decent tyre. anyone had them before? I've had MPS on mine for about a month now and I rate them much more than the Bridgestones. Much better in the dry and at least as good in the wet.

    Perhaps it's the sport pack then? Anyway, he also has a Caterham that is circa 230 bhp, and whilst the Exige is obviously not as quick as the Caterham due to weight difference, he still finds it a very quick and able motor.

    Despite being a huge fan of Lotus (both an ex employee and owner) the Cayman is in a different league in terms of build quality and lack of depreciation imo.

    Nice choice Kev. A good friend of mine took delivery of a new 2007 S with performance pack a couple of months ago. He is very pleased with it overall and was also impressed when he did a track day at Donny with it.

    Are you sure thats Optimax / SUL etc.. or just NUL ? Cheapest for SUL on Monday nationwide was supposed to be 96.9 which is likely to be a Sainsburys as their SUL is not the same as Tesco/Shell. . Didnt know Esso did SU either? what RON is it? 97 ron.

    A very difficult problem to isolate without proper equipment. It could be any number of things such as the ignition system, immobiliser, ECU, etc. I would suggest a visit to your stealer.

    Hi and from another 'old codger'. I can't help you with the Nismo exhaust question, but I also experienced similar issues with the Bridgestones and now run Pilot Sports which are not only more grippier in cold weather but also quieter.
