  1. Only time will tell Stew...... just managed to wash it before it peed it down....
  2. Had my alloys refurbed AGAIN today, after they cracked the first time I had them done. Got them redone for free second time around, as the first time there was a problem with the oven, and the laquer didn't bake on hard enough.... Had the full powder coat, sprayed black, then the fronts sprayed with a light silver then 2 coats of laquer. Got them done in bright silver the last time but went for the gun metal look the second time...... pretty chuffed with them to be honest. What do we reckon chaps???????

    For sale

A long shot I know but anyone interested or know anyone who might be interested in buying my old fellas Merc E class 320diesel Avant Garde.... Its for sale as he bought Tim (Lomoto's) Jaguar S type last week. Its a 99, V reg 168,000 on the clock,(high I know but all pretty much motorway miles) and in pretty good nick. All in top working order and it still shifts. The ride is very smooth as its such a big motor. The private plate is being removed soon and it has full merc service history, 2 owners from new and 17 inch alloys, tyres only done roughly 2000 miles. For sale at 4500..... Dave

  5. Bought..... Pleasure doing business with you Tim. Top car, top man...... My old fella is well happy. Dave
  6. I'll take 1 and 3 please in that order.
  7. Stanski, The boy that did mine would probaly do a better job than the stealers and at half the cost... Espeically for cash.... I notice you are only north Manchester and he and I are both south so not too far. If you need any more details drop me a line. dave:)
  8. That must be every motorists worst nightmare. Can't imagine how bad that must feel but glad it all ended up ok. At least you can be proud of the fact that you must have been driving sensibly Yes thanks for that mate, it certainly makes you think. If I had killed her I would never have been able to forgive myself.... My best mate is a paramedic and he says it happens so often though. Kids eh,,,
  9. Yes it is called pass plus. From my brief time at Norwich Union I used to recomend it a lot to new drivers... Have seen it shave as much as 700 quid off a policy... Dave
  10. Yeah cheers mate,,,, it was quite a brown trouser moment if I am honest. Her mum took a while to speak to me when I visited with some chocs to check she was ok but eventually she came round. A bit of my charm and she could soon tell I am not the boy racer type. Pm me if you need the number of the paint chap. dave
  11. Think it was £600 but that included getting out a really bad dint out of the bonnet. Unfortunately I had 2 12 year old girls run out in front of me last year and I couldn't avoid one as they split up. Knocked her down causing the bonnet damage. The girl was ok after a small stay in hospital, and I had a witness confirming it was there fault so all ended ok in the end. But I have had better days
  12. I had my bonnet and bumper re done once Andy at a local body shop. (A colleague at works dad). He did a quality job. Top bloke and in Cheshire so probably not that far from you. If you did that then you can get that clear cling film type coating which Val used to have to save any more chips. Jobs a bobby. If you want any details mate let me know. Dave

  15. DFS, Sofas, price of sheets.... whats next Digsy,,, do you think these curtains match your undercrackers.... I don't know,,, I log onto this site for quality debates about the ultimate driving machine and now we are banging on about sofas like a load of mad middle aged boilers.... Someone post up a thread about a big exhaust or something quick before I lose faith....
  16. Black sensors on a grey bumper,,, its like something out of Max Power That aside I would't buy a car that has obviously not be looked after. That would be like going after the big unit in a nite club instead of the babe with the huge norkage...
  17. Check out the dirty pipeage on the second link,,, and those parking sensors i wouldn't touch that with yours!!!!
  18. I havn't Digsy no mate! But one tip for you is go any day except June 17th...... they don't have a sale on that day.... Dave
  19. good colour choice there boti.... Grey is the new Black.
  20. Have you spoken to Adrian Flux,,, discount available if you are a member on here. Mine is due in a month and last year it was around 450 but I am 37 and have a clean license. Oh and my neighbours are Fergie and Roy the Keane. Anyhow, tips from the short spell I spent working for Norwich Union are:- add girlfriends, or parents if old and have clean licence's don't just say 12000 miles a year if you do a lot less as this really brings it down. Cat 1 alarms,,,, Excess as mentioned by Mike. Remove the courtesey car option as you lose it anyway if you specify your own garage rather than use their aithorised repairers. Believe me in the case of Norwich union YOU WANT to specify your own repairers. Hope this helps Dave
  21. Sorry mate but you lost me by the second paragraph,,, I will watch MOTD, got to bed, get up, log back on tomorrow and have another read in that order. Dave
