    Lipped discs...

thats probably what jerry meant Most likely, but doesnt stop us having some fun Most cases I've seen skimming used is when someone accidentally lets the pads go to the metal and score the discs. This is when the discs havent worn too much so you can take a bit off them. I dont think you should be skimming seriously lipped discs as its an indication they need changing. I guess if you have a slight lip and are fitting new pads you could, but dont really see the point.
  2. You let off mid corner - big no no in RWD The Zed can be a bit of a handful in the wet if you are not used to finessing a RWD monster about the place. You need to be smooth on rolling on and off the throttle and brakes and not make any mid corner throttle or braking adjustments in the wet. The car is very stable and solid to drive and does handle as to be expected for a RWD car, you just need to be mindful of it
  3. Good to hear its all sorted Mart
  4. Sounds like you've had a hell of a couple of years so far! Good to hear you now have a good tuner that knows what they are doing. We have a few very highly rated tuners on here, built many many high powered FI Zeds, so if you have any problems post them up and they will help out.
  5. Thats why you got mates rates
  6. Dont mind doing that - you know my day rate
  7. And a quick change of resolution eh bud
  8. There was a post on the US forums about someone stealing the mirrors from a heated JDM ages ago to get the heated glass, so it would be possible, but fortunately Husky doesnt know where I live Basingstoke.. ive checked..! that's in England !! You have to get passed all the chavs first

  10. Yes I will! I dont miss auto fold mirros half as much as I'd miss heated ones
  11. Just had to get an import Might turn mine on later just to see if I can get some steam
  12. Red mist is a quick detailer It does blurr the lines a bit, but is more a DQ than a sealant, and is fine over wax.
  13. +1 is it standard on both UK and JDM or UK only? They come on with with the rear demister. Standard in the UK car, not sure about JDM, my guess would be optional
  14. still played again tho didn't you, gob on a stick! Anything to avoid work
  15. If its just water or a bit of frost on mine, I would say they are clear somewhere around 5-10 minutes. If its completely frozen, could take 15mins maybe. Does sound like yours arent working right
  16. Oh Mart, whatever will we do with you! I think they owe you a 370z roadster as compensation
  17. Like this? DANGER TO MANIFOLD! Sorry couldnt resist
  18. Rocking Rabbit 0.2 with a fastest of 0.108 I beleive this is a too
  19. In what sense? Obviously I am considering one quite seriously, and others I have spoken to who have had them on the track said they were good. Obviously never as much control as a manual, but very capable all the same. Am interested to hear what about the box you didnt like on the track. I can imagine it would be a completely different beast to your Zed and will never compare to that
  20. Its purely for the shift light, not the actual rev limit. I set mine to 6200RPM knowing that is about the time I need to shift before hitting the rev limiter when gunning it
  21. Never stopped me on my testdrive. Good job there were no coppers about Looking at all the test drives that seem to be quoting 0-60 times quicker than Nissan, I would say so. I'm still waiting for Nissan to get back to me about a weekend test drive to decide, anyone would think they dont care! Although to be fair I have 2 missed calls on my mobile and home phone - they always call when I'm driving home!
  22. Still think you're quicker in a manual Colin?
