  1. No point having it all in the boot like that, you need to wrap the cabin in it
  2. Matt, just caught up with this, see you got my PM ok on the US site
  3. It does far more than satnav, it does info from the car, bluetooth etc. Not just a simple case of ripping it out and replacing it with aftermarket
  4. Audio as in making the interior quieter for my commutes I planned to do it in the current Zed and never got around to it. With the strut bar missing and not torneu cover in the 370z, I'm expecting sound levels to be louder than I'm used to in the current car, so fully expecting to sound deaden it. ahh i get you, good plan indeed! no tonneueueueu type covers available as an option then? seems silly No strut bar to put it under makes it hard to seal up against the boot lid. I guess you could knock something up, but I'll just cover the interior in Second Skin instead

  6. Unfortunately so Matty. I had quite an indepth convo with the Nissan Sportscar product manager and said to him it was shocking how they have done it. At least in the States they had the car for a year before the upgrade, over here it was a matter of months. And Nissan did nothing to warn customers either. I knew it was coming before they did officially as it was released in the States first which is where I heard about it, and hence posted the "Connect Premium" thread. Just enjoy the car for what it is. The satnav still works, so does its job of getting you to the nice roads, but when you are there, its still the same car as the newer ones, so just as fun to drive, which is what its all about
  7. Take it easy if the roads are damp. At least with an SC the power delivery will be nice and linear so no scary "on boost" moments! Just take it easy and you'll be fine
  8. That to me seems low, but then again its a hub dyno, so I guess he expects less loss (no tyre traction loss to consider), and at least on that side its always going to be an under-estimate of power rather than over estimate. I think the likes of the Evo and Scoobie boys factor in about 22% being 4WD. Doesnt really matter either way, its what you put down to the floor that counts
  9. Be interested to hear the outcome. In the States they have quotes from Nissan saying the hardware is completely different and cant be swapped. The 350z one you could just rip out and replace, but the new 2010 nav integrates into the car a lot more, so not sure it will be a cut and shut job.
  10. If I pull my door apart to sound deaden it, I'll take lots of pics for you to compare. Personally I would expect there to be a lot the same in there. At least we know how to fix it though
  11. I'd say closer to 504hp... with 20% difference... The conservative transmission losses are usually 15-17%, never up as high as 20%.
  12. I have found your next mod mate, you can thank me by buying me a set too... they are for the 370z but sure you an make them fit! 8 pot BBK to make sure you can stop http://maydaygarage.com/2010/03/23/gang ... ret-japan/
  13. I would hazzard a bet there are a lot of similar - if not identical - items in the 370z window mech as the 350z
  14. Probably becuase no one with a 370z can afford their prices!
  15. Nice results chap Please keep it on the road in Wales
  16. Be warned that likely wont have the MY2010 nav upgrade, so doube check with them if thats an issue for you. If its not use it to haggle down the price
  17. Well if everyone is out to make a quick buck - why not! For clarification, I am of course joking and the admin team wouldnt think about doing this! Anyway, I need mods for a 370z and no one is selling them, so thats me out
  18. Hadnt thought of that, Watch out for the team doing a lot of selling soon. We wouldnt have thought of it - but now we have
  19. Lol - well in a funny way you have made me very happy I went for the 370z over a Cayman then
  20. Becuase the 1/2" doesnt fit under the standard strut bar, the 5/16" with some washers can fit under the standard strut. Also the gains of going from 5/16" to 1/2" are very minimal if all other things are kept equal. btw
  21. Theres 2 main problem groups when it comes from sales. First are those trying to make a quick buck, they dont read the rules and just post, and this we dont want. The second are proper members that just forget to read the rules, who in the past, we turned a blind eye to as we knew they were decent people. The problem now is that its such a big issue we are discussing it more than the cars! So everyone will have to obey the rules now and the new process TBC soon. Its a case of minority spoiling it for the majority I'm afraid
