Car looked lovely in black, I was the guy in the Monaro playing with you (oo er)
Was a good fun childish way to break up an otherwise boring trip
-
well I know I had one in the Garage but moving house hence no actual thread for it. I'll have a good look tomorrow
Am 100% sure I still have it as it was hanging on a bracket - make me an offer and if I have it you can grab it
-
Original fit item - this is the original plenum taken from an 05 car last year when I replaced it with a kinetix.
No longer have the car so looking to get rid.
Also beleive I still have the original engine cover too - if interested post here or pm

if you want it, pm me.

it depends on the remap though!
What I'm surprised at is just how many "reputable" tuning houses are willing to whack in a remap from a preconfigured source without fine tuning for individual cars. That imo is not safe. I'm not sure on the UTEC route etc, do they actually remap the car on a dyno individually or is it a drive in drive out service?

The zed like many modern cars is tuned to close to optimum from the factory. Any mods are going to be really chucking good money after bad, it aint like the days of ripping a single carb off a pinto and sticking on webbers or 4 socks.
Some cars though will take to modding, those that come with factory turbos for instance are more rewarding to mod over a n/a apication. That said the GM LSx range come over fueled for long distance reliability in the outback and to remove any undue stresses whilst still giving great performance. As a comparison to the Zed I just had my exhaust and headers replaced (equiv to the Zed exhaust and cat by pass really) and the difference is not to be soffed at. I have gone from 333bhp measured to 385bhp but the main difference is the torque has raised to 395ft/lb. Thats from the system and a remap.
For the same price the Zed will still chuck out pretty much stock figures because it comes in a box already close to optimum tune.
Personally, on teh zed, I wouldnt consider it on an NA.
On a further note, on LSx tuning the remaps are pretty much guaranteed and even backed by main dealer warranty because they are that sure of the work and reliability. IT speaks volumes you cant get that for a zed remap.

the only reason I dont have the L is due to the kits being sold out with them, still, its hard to justify upgrading the same focal length to an L class when the difference I think will be hard to spot really... we'll see though

This squire, proves you are indeed colour blind.

I love the 350d but going to sell it, though it could work as a good back up camera I suppose.
To get the effect I took 3 or 5 exposures on each image and then performed a HDR to get the desired results.
The lense I use is the Sigma 28-135 which isnt a bad lens, certainly good enough to not justify a canon L class lense to be honest

Not here am affraid but I am in the South West and would like to do some pictures of a members car if anyone is up for it.
I am practicing static pictures of cars at the minute and eventually will add it to services I do for money. One day I'll have a car mounting kit to take some moving images too.
If you are in the South West, pref near Swindon/Bristol areas and would like some free high quality images of your car let me know. Of course it is free and then once I am happy I'll start offering a fee based service to members if there is enough interest (again I'm cheap :x)
Some sample stuff so far
My other car is a Ferrari
let me know if you are up for this and we can sort a time out.

looking at the "New" model I think most people would be hard pushed to spot the difference from one of the first model 350's from A few yards away nothing there I can see to make want to spend Tens of Thousands more to buy one
great if you are a buyer for a used one though

no worse

surely it would make sense for them to use the new 3.7 litre engine?
-
thats me, in the wings waiting for the residuals to do a Titanic once the new Infiniti thing hits the shores as I sorely miss the sublime drive the Zed gives - would sit nice side by side with the rest of the fleet
so I'll start my bidding now at 11k for an 05

shocking response from the dealer, but alas, it seems a current theme with nissan dealers at the minute
read this: http://www.visordown.com/forums/showthr ... ght=nissan
then this, from a nissan engine design employee: http://www.visordown.com/forums/showthr ... ght=nissan
in the end both turned out good but after a huge amount of struggle that wasnt really needed, both cases were covered by TSB's that magically didnt apply to eitehr of these cars yet after consistant fighting were accepted to be effected by the TSB's. Makes you wonder how many other owners are fobbed off though
then couple it with my and other members experience of sheer faced lies from nissan UK customer support and local dealers.... Nissan you are really letting yourself down

I have to check mine but havent gotten around to it yet Easy job I know but its one of those CBA moments
-
may be worth running on a dyno to check mixture. I have a feeling my maf is a bit dirty after running a k and n pre oiled filter as the mixture is richer than an oil tycoon at the minute
-
I read an article in one of the less interesting car Magazines where it stated that Z had the best residuals in the market, better than a boxster
i read that, it was back before they started running out different models each year and the market started to saturate with imports and 2nd hand cars... best residuals bar none is my smart car! (Yes I erm kinda got one of them too)
-
how does the maf react to it?
-
How are they at the minute guys? I simply ask as here, in and around the Swindon/Wiltshire area, there appear to be about 4billion 350z's on the road.
Last night I counted 3 at the local Chavsda store, 2 on great western way and constantly see loads running around the greatest county 2nd to Lancashire.
I am now smug in the knowledge that my vauxhall will never ever suffer such bad things as depreciation :big girly cry:
