  1. lol how does your blitz connect in, I presume it goes into the ECU direct/piggy backs? Maybe it isnt wired in right, I bet its the bloody rear oxygen sensor - see my other thread
  2. BOSE - some say it is crap, I find the sound fantastic for a factory fit unit! Def a worthy upgrade unless, as said, you plan your own ICE. The GT Seats, well in my suit I slip all over like a wet kipper, however on the track or when wearing non suit clothing they dont slip. I just completed a 2500 mile trip, 800 of those miles done in one long day - only stopping once for fuel - I got out as did my missus at the end of the day without a single ache, no arse cramp and no lower back ache. That is the mark of a true comfy GT car. Def get the GT pack and go fo RAYS, the standard alloys are nice but they are like the Audi TT with the 1 exhaust or the 2 exhausts
  3. its not the daily, I got a discovery (actually its up for sale if you know anyone that could fancy one ) but even though I could do the rebuild, if required, its a pain I dont want - am waiting a while longer to see how the early SC cars cope. But after the track days I am strongly suspecting that it would be a move for the worse. For the road and for show its a superb move but on the track I dont think its wise for me, my skill isnt up to that level nor do I want the increase stress of a track time + FI on the car.
  4. yep, that looks like the one I got and at htat price too i got it in a few days, very good ebayer ++++++++++
  5. do you have any access to an ODBII reader? I know that sounds stupid as you are getting it to flash but ask around and someone near you will have one. I got one off ebay for 20 quid and it is invaluable there is a thread on the owners club general page where I posted a link to one hope you get it sorted
  6. not a bad find but done teh rounds a while now - good to see again though interesting points though is the evo missed 2nd twice - was this car or driver, prob driver and would it have had a differetn result? 350z tt is 1.5 litres of combustion capacity up on the evo, the evo was pretty bog standard it would be a case of comparing the Z out of the box to an M3
  7. i was considering supercharging but then figured what exactly would it give me. Stock the car is very fast, make no mistake, and the brakes and handling is superb on track then after another great track day (where a bit more horses would be nice but ott) I started to think if the likes of RJN get blown engines (ok I know a race engine is different) then what is the real risk of mine going pop and what would it cost, to me, to get it sorted SC is still something I might consider in the future but I'd rather do it right, with lower comp pistons and possibly revised crank just to be safer - who knows, in a few years if I still have the car it may have too many miles on to risk doing it, on the other hand maybe a few of the engines here will pop
  8. that could have been me thinking back
  9. one is in France heading towards Paris just outside of Calais - Thursday 1st of June second is parked just round the corner from me in Pewsham, anyone here?
  10. 1.5k will buy you next to nowhere other than the plenum/cats/exhaust
  11. only way to make it "faster" is go forced induction failing that the kinetix v+ and high flow cats do certainly crispen up throttle respnse and increase the noise (subtley) and seem to give improved feeling in the mid range which is where it counts am in Pewsham/Chippenham if ever you're out and about - you wont miss the car
  12. i think its the post cat sensor so maybe still possible to throw up the code quite a few have mentioned this code coming up for no reason other than faulty sensors only done it once, if it comes on again I'll check the sensor out
  13. suspected it was that as I was told to watch out for the rear Ox sensors after changing the cats it popped up after a month, the car was working fine, stopped to put fuel in and it came on - reset the code and not appeared since. Do you have a link to the codes as my scanner book only lists the standard not manufacturer codes thanks
  14. anyone got a clue what 1167 is? thanks
  15. Well I took the car to Europe this past week and have had an absolute blast of a time! We started off from Calais and made our way down to Albi, then onto Barcelona before finishing up in Carcassonne. I really really recommend you all go to both Albi and Carcassonne for some stunning places, especially Carcassonne! Anyway I took a shed load of pictures and some of the car, the car ones are here -> http://www.flickr.com/photos/28314568@N ... 153170830/ I hope the link works! On a plus, we left Carcassonne yesterday morning around 8am and had to drive to Calais which is approx 700 miles - we did this only stopping off for fuel and both myself and my girlfriend had no aches or pains, the car is simply superb at murdering the miles in comfort - some of you will have seen my injuries from a bad crash I had and not one symptom was set off on the drive back. bye for now lads
  16. I have both the garmin I3 and the TomTom 700 (the garmin is up for sale if you want a bargain!) My views both are excellent, the TT700 is superb for Europe but I prefer the I3 for day to day use. The i3 is very tiny but much better suited to driving as it doesnt vibrate so much - also the roundabout navigation is far better on the i3 than on the TT system - it actually tells you when to exit, the tt just says take the 4th exit but this is often inaccurate I find PM me if you fancy the i3, I want 90 quid for it - it is only a few months old but I needed the TT for my recent trip around europe
  17. not a fan of the kits, however, I do like teh old nismo front bumber and side skirts I'd consider this without the picnic tabel rear spoiler
  18. why dont we all club together and speak to Whatcar magazine? adverse publicity just as the 06 model comes out?
  19. after doing goodwood with the ebc redstuff I will vouch for zero fade and much better feel over standard ones
  20. seriously? So the Bose head unit can be replaced with any normal head unit that has standard amp outputs? Cool what type of outputs are required and how many?
  21. o/t but I am so glad I didnt get the Nissan Sat Nav a 125 auid Garmin I3 is better! I really didnt like the user interface/remote control thing it seemed very low tech for that price
  22. am camera shy its just a replacement plenum at present with a v+ and hi flow cats so nowt much to see.
  23. i am actually very very happy with the sound in the system, just the head unit looks a bit poor really - it looks about 20 years old so keeping the speakers in there, is it possible to simply replace the head unit?
