  1. Welcome to the site, and it sounds like a great idea to me!
  2. Does the Summit one not? It looks to have plenty of clearance.
  3. Needed to go back to copy the link. Any pics of the scuffs at all bud?
  4. I am in violent agreement with you! I used to have a routine when I got in the car, took me about 5 minutes plugging in all the toys [GPS based camera detector, Radar/Laser detector, sat nav, trafficmaster] would be late leaving as a result and needed all the speed tools to get me where I needed to be on time! So I have combined 3 of those, GPS speed camera detector, Satnav and Traffic information in one and dropped the radar/laser detector, have to say if I could find a unit that did all 4 and only gave radar/laser warnings where it hadnt already warned me as a result of GPS position and then only when I was over the speed limit I would probably buy it. Going back to the original posters question I'd still spend my money on a gps based satnav unit and download the speedcam database from pocketgpsworld. no matter what detector you go with it wont protect you from the unmarked car, truvello cameras (the forward facing ones), SPECS (the average speed cameras they increasingly use on roadworks) or whatever they think of next in their flawed thinking about speed (http://www.safespeed.org.uk/ RIP Paul Smith ) only a GPS unit will protect from them all (with the exception of the unmarked car!) +1 And can back the Origin speed trap detectors, great product.
  5. Im in a similar quandry.... Im opting for a plenum spacer till I have enough funds for a Nismo exhaust Take a look at the thread that shows the power 'gains' on a before and after dyno. Go for the NISMO for the noise!
  6. You mean like the rest of your life??

    tyre tests

Nope. Just Michelin, Goodyear, Continental, Bridgestone and Pirelli. In other words, all the OE manufacturers.....
  10. My mate got his 996 Carrera C and it suffered that rather catastrophic drive shaft shudder that rather left a lot of the engine on the floor...... He knew about it and had a huge argument with Porsche about it. They put a new engine in it in the end to try and keep this problem under wraps. But have heard more recent stories that they are now less likely to cover it.
  11. Welcome to the site! Try Admiral / Elephant and add your gf / Mum / Dad to the quote and watch the price come down!

Are Toyo / Yokohama / BF Goodrich / Falken not included?? Can't see the vids at the moment.
  13. And all of them have been known warranty items bud...... Have a word with the likes of Big Phil who will probably be able to sort out something a whole load more reliable for less than Nissan would want.
  14. I went to the UK launch of that thing at Brands Hatch, friend of mine was driving it. One serious bit of kit and ultimate track day weapon for the seriously rich!

    Wheel Spacers

Got Andrew and he said he has eibach ones, good price too but I got to find out what size ~I want. I think 55mm at the rear should do it and 35 at the front Going to be a bit tricky until you get the kit on isn't it? Anything else to worry about? Stress on the bearing which is inevitable, will redo tracking, but dont want to drive around with a car with swallowed wheels waiting for the spacers, ive got my image to think off spacers bang goes your handling Yeah, but think of the image.... I am, and the 3-wheeled reliant robin overtaking him on the outside of the bend LMAO!!
