Big Phil does a shiny heat shield that fits with a Popcharger, give him a shout.

Yellow Tops are great, but do have a flaw (or at least did). If the car isn't used regularly (or the battery charged / used) then they can suddenly stop holding their charge. I had one in my last install and it provided admirable power for the system. You also have the added bonus they are sealed and you can mount them on their side if you need to. As for size, I think it would fit. Not measured it myself, but think it would go. If not, there is another brand that I just can't remember the name of....

AFAIK, it is a headunit issue. Replacement headunits will use the existing BOSE amp, yes. The problem you have with the BOSE set-up, is the output from the headunit (and therefore amp input) is at a different level to aftermarket headunits. Speaker level (high level) or phono / RCA level (low level) outputs are what aftermarket headunits use. The BOSE amp won't work with these. If you change the headunit, you will need a PAC ROEM adaptor to still be able to use the BOSE amp. Zedrush and others have done the same.

If you have the left channel going, it is a known fault and not something people have rectified with wire checks so far.... Let us know how you get on!

OK, could be complications with the ECU then. In my (limited) experience, everytime to touch the MAF sensor the ECU needs resetting. Which aftermarket one do you have fitted? Any instruction manual with it?

Like I said - stuff! Nothing major, I won't have the car back until next Friday probably, so won't have any time to fit anything big. Bit of a shame as I was going to get some external mods done but won't be able to now.
