A waste of time buying anything with an R in its title as you will pay through the teeth for insurance, I passed my test last year and after looking at a lot of different bikes bought a fazer s2 600 basically a de-tuned r6 with a more upright riding position, I pay just under £250 for my insurance compared to nearly £600 for a r6 and its more than quick enough for a first bike. Set my computer to zero before setting of to Scotland, miles covered 1150, average miles per gallon 23, average speed 49 and it only took five hours to get home which was around 360 miles. max.

By half two i'am hoping to be north of Glasgow took just over three and half hours to get to Glasgow but can be a nightmare getting through. max.

If its not your fault you can hire a car of your choice, I used a company called Bristol and London they bring the car to you and claim the money of the others insurance,my choice was a bmw 335i or a bmw 120 convertible which I chose(could not get rid fast enough). max.
