You'd have loved the completely unpainted Pagani Zonda at Geneva if you're carbon fibre mad, mate. I'll try and get some pics up over the next few days.

I'm in the problematic situation of having gone the extra mile (or 40 odd) to have my rims fitted at Demon Tweeks in Wrexham where I trust them not to wreck the wheels as seen above, only to find that Envy didn't send me the correct spigot rings to fit the wheels. Fair play to Gaz, he's sent me what should be the correct ones but Wrexham's a long way to go and DT will no doubt want to charge me again to take the wheels on and off. I have some local places where I could get the job done but nothing above fills me with any confidence. I could really do with getting them fitted before Wales but I'm very short on time. DT did a great job BTW and they checked carefully before they sent me out that there were no vibrations or rattles without the rings. I don't really know whether I need them at all but the DT guy did suggest I got them done. Any thoughts?

Yeah, that was me but I do use the car mostly for the daily commute and if I'm getting the back end out on the M57 I've got more to worry about than tyre wear!

No one's judging anyone on this trip! I was a bit embarrassed by my parking dings and kerbed wheels before I went to the first one but you soon forget with good company, good roads and good food. It's not concours, it's fun!

M6 wheels are beautful Kev. Nice find, mate. I've seen a few and they acually look really delicate in the flesh which shouldn't work with the chunky 6 series but surprisingly they look great.

I would try the one on this link, 2/3 of the way down entitled 'Ideal Rim Width'. http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html The answer to the original question is both However, Liam's link will tell you what tyres you can use by comparing with stock and not upsetting rolling radius and the answer is either a 275x35x19 or 285x35x19 will work on 19" x 10.5" rims although the 275 will appear more stretched than the 285 I may be wrong but I've seen it said elsewhere that 285s on 10.5" rims may have some rubbing issues so that the arches need rolling. That's certainly the case if your planning to drop it at all.

About 48-50 hours a week. I'm on a bonus so at least I see some direct results for the extra. Doesn't go down well with the better half though.

But up to press that as not been decided yet and these are the details of the last run out. Final time will be decided on in due course, but i would not expect it to be any later tan either 9.30 or 10. I never got there till ten last year. We left about half hour late and was in Bala well before twelve which was too early. Gives people a chance to get there if they are coming from far away like I was hence me getting done by the fuzz on the way . Just a thought thats all..... Can we decide a time please? If we decide 10 then some people may not turn up until eleven because they decided to leave their homes too late and in doing so drove to fast because they did not leave enough time for the journey.....hence then stopped by the fuzz for speeding wasting even more time. I think 10's reasonable. We have to rely upon people not taking the p1ss and turning up much later.
