  1. No word yet from the police on this one. I'll let you know when/if I hear anything. As for kids, of course they are not all bad. However, there are a huge number in this country with no respect for anything or anyone. To me this has to be related to how they are brought up - both schools and parents. Kids are too aware these days that teachers and parents are powerless to impose any meaningful discipline upon them. In a Utopian society we would not need to use any sort of physical punishment to control children but unfortunately we live in the real world and the proof of this liberal approach to parenting and education is there for all of us to see. I would stress that I don't support knocking the living hell out of kids and there is a line which mustn't be crossed but things have gone too far the other way. As someone has said, these anti-social louts go on to have their own kids to whom they pay no attention whatsoever and the problem just gets worse. I don't want to be driven out of a house and a city that I love by this scum but what do you get if you stand and fight? Shot? Stabbed? Even if they don't attack you right away, a homeowner who kicks up a fuss makes themselves a target. We can't always be there to protect our property and the police don't have the resources to do it for us. Surprising as it may be, I actually live in one of the most desirable areas in the Liverpool suburbs so if I need to move then it means that there is nowhere safe to live in the city anymore and I don't believe that the other big cities are any better. I better stop now as I'm just winding myself up!
  2. I don't recall anyone complaining of steering problems before soi don't think its a known issue. Good luck with the dealer.
  3. Had a great weekend and just getting back to our house last night after watching Bourne, when I spot loads of folk milling around outside my house, some in dressing gowns. As we get nearer I can see the Micra has a smashed front screen. Round the corner, four of my neighbours have some fat scally kid pinned against my side wall shouting obscenities. Apparently, a gang of 20 scrotes decided it would be a great wheeze to walk the length of our road over the line of parked cars! There are 4 or 5 cars damaged and I reckon we're quite lucky as I'd rather havbe a smashed screen than some of the panel damage to bonnets I saw. The police arrested fat-boy who obviously couldn't run as fast as the others and say they're going to take some statements but as no one saw him actually do anything and he's unlikely to grass on his mates I can't see anything coming of it. Suppose they may arrest the neighbours for grabbing the kid........ Very p1ssed off!!!
  4. Hi Dave. Welcome aboard! Car is looking sweet! What's the exhaust - doesn't look standard to me. Unusual placement for the foglight but it works.
  5. yeap a big snail you know there is a lot of room in front of a S2K so he had to find something to fill the empty place Have you driven it? What's it like? I would fancy an S2K if it had some torque!
  6. I've seen some TVRs (Sagaris and T350C) in a rich purple colour and they look the mutts nutts. Should work with a modded Zed.
  7. Its normally a Sunday meet but those who have travelled a bit usually meet up in Chester for drinks/food on the Saturday night. Quite a few bring their significant others - I will undoubtedly have my "speed limiter" with me!
  8. Hi Pudding, welcome aboard! I'm sorry to see your first post is a problem. I can't help but I'm sure someone who can will be along shortly.
  9. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... 609#122609 Keep an eye on this one, fella!
  10. Relax, de-stress and have a good one, Dan! Lock up your grannies, Tenerife, Dan's in town!
  11. Jamie, sounds like you did a great job given the obstacles put in your way. It looks as if you're going to persevere and no doubt the event will grow and improve year on year. Anyone who puts themselves out there to organise (and pay for) such an event (especially in the North where we're poorly served ) deserves all of our support. Well done, mate!
  12. Looking good, my friend! Keep us posted with your thoughts as you get used to her.
  13. Blimey the Bullrings changed a bit since I was last there! It was more Ratners than Vertu back then.....
  14. I'm liking both the idea of white or a more unusual colour. Given the mods you're doing to your car I think it deserves a bespoke paint job. Go for it!
  15. That doesn't sound right. IIRC this is a half-kit i.e. it goes on over the OEM bumper and the pics suggest there's a lip into the rear number plate recess which wouldn't be right for a UK car. Suppose Adam knows better though. we can specify uk fitment for the rear Good stuff, Adam! I'm actually pleasantly surprised that Ings would go to the effort of doing a UK fitment, especially as I haven't seen anyone in the UK with a full Ings kit. Does the rest of Europe have a UK size number plate recess? Martin, I can't wait to see the kit on your car. This has always been my favourite kit but I need the ground clearance to get into my yard. I'm very envious!
  16. When are you thinking, Chris? This is going to appeal to a lot of the same folk as the Lakes meet so I suspect its going to need to be into mid-October. That could be pushing it for the weather but we did OK last year. Subject to date confirmation, I'm in of course.
  17. Just catching up with this one now. I think you've had a lucky escape. Dust yourself down and move on.
  18. Hi all I do intend to get a letter or provenance for the car from the UK Nissan dealer just to clarify a few points, plus it can only help with any future sale. Its just a colour thing...the yellow does it for me, I saw one outside my business premises a few months ago and that was that! The PS2 has gone..checked that straight away, my understanding is the car was exported to Cyprus in 2005 to a Nissan dealers showroom and there it stayed until recently re-imported. With delivery miles and a 57 reg its still a fairly unique vehicle - it was never gonna be cheap and I know for a few £K more a trip down to the local Nissan dealer would get me the latest model, but to be quite honest I really wouldn't bother. I had a red Evo VIII for half a day a couple of years ago...I wanted, I needed a yellow car and to me this is prettiest yellow beast you can buy. Cheers Paul You sound like a bloke who knows his own mind. Good luck with it.
