Well IMHO Darren has ruined the car with what he has done to it It is not a 350 or a 370 it is a 240Z and every body knows that to keep them the condition they should be they should have some rust on them somewhere and what he has done is taken away its heritage For gods sake the rust that was on it had taken approximately 40odd years for the previous owners to develop and grow that rust in a fantastic way to ensure it was in keeping to what a z should be like today and he has wiped out all that effort in a few months I hope you will all take the same action as me when you first see the completed item and give him a good slapping for killing all that fantastic rust that had taken others so much time to nurture and grow

If you get at the gate at 8 o'clock you will be fine but if you are approaching Chippenham at 8 o'clock you could be queuing for a couple of hours as the traffic then is horrendous one year i remember it took some people 4 hours to get in

Same old Same old every year people think it is alright to get there after at the latest advised time ie as soon as the gates open at 7.00 for people on club stands and every year a hell of a lot of decide oh people are talking rubbish to get there that early and then after they are stuck outside and spending up to 3 hours trying to get in they realize they should have listened to the advise Every year that I went I have always booked into a b&b on the Friday to make it easier to get there early even if was a cheapy at say Swindon just to make sure I arrived Please listen to all the advise re getting there early or you will sure regret it

Had the pleasure of meetiing him a couple of times in the states and the best remembered time was when he was signing a Z Club magazine for me and he was sitting next to Yoshihiko Matsuo and straight away he opened the magazine went straight to the index page and looked at Matsuo san and smiled and pointed to his listing there of his name next to the Z Club President which showed to me that must have read the club magazines we used to send him for him to remember that his name was listed there Will be missed by many

So new organizers have pushed the price of a session up from £600 to £700 Also just heard though the Grapevine someone on here is willing to take it on if need any advise etc just pm me Big thumbs to who ever it is well done indeedy

With regards to organizing the tickets and track sessions for a good few years and the stress of recouping the £1800 that the club has always paid out up front for the sessions together with the ordering over £2000 worth of entrance tickets and passes in the past few years together with the general dissatisfaction of last years stand location this year I do not fancy having that pressure on me again Also to be honest although we managed to sell all the track sessions the number of people who dropped out of one of the sessions on the day made it a bit of joke of the session with only 10 Z/ZX out on the track This year Future Publishing are no longer the Event Organizers and have passed it on to a new organizer so the contacts we had have now moved on With regards track time anyone who wanted it could book it them selves on the following website and would then park up in the session area if no one wants to organize a club spot Sorry to drop this on you all for more information visit http://www.japfest.co.uk/
