  1. Thanks Guys. Selling the Cossie may mean I use the Exige more. It's got less than 2k miles on it and it's now 8 months old...
  2. Funding some of the Exige mods already done and a few more planned, suspension is next (Nitron Coilovers). Also possibly a new Bike..
  3. Someone will be getting a bargain http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/556196.htm

    Val!

I think you'll find he was buying up second hand parts and trying accumulate enough together to form a full kit, he was on ebay a while back tring to flog used APS stuff..................... woah not good, if was me and I wanted to go turbo Id save up or get two jobs to get the turbo kit I wanted not buy parts second hand, cos its messing with the engine and thats serious stuff, lets just hope he knows what he is doing What's wrong with secondhand parts. My Cossie Turbo is 22 years old...reconditioned of course, but producing 32 psi all the same... Just wouldnt want to risk it with second hand parts, wouldnt know when it would go wrong, at least with a new kit there is some kind of reassurance. But thats just me. He will probably end up spending the same if not more with a second hand kit and tuners time, would just make sense to me getting a new kit for near enough same price and with piece of mind. But hey each to their own Some of the older kit is much better quality than modern mass produced parts which are built to a price, especially homologation items.... Secondhand items can be checked too. Just remember next time you are on a flight, the mileage of those engines....

  6. I would if I could sell the Cossie. It owes me so much I'm never likely to sell it in one piece. It's back on the road though and I'm looking for a track evening as a shake down since it never got on track in 2007. Everything seems to be running well though, apart from clutch showing signs of wear and rear diff chattering when hot....but otherwise OK...
  7. What about tis one... Whoops missed the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DggRRCqEiKw&NR=1
  8. My Cossie peaked at 32 psi on the rolling road. This is with standard crank, con rods, block, head, etc. with new forged Cossie pistons although the standard ones are ok and forged. You won't get away with this with modern engines though. This means if you do want big power it will be vastly expensive, as you will need forged pistons, crank, rods etc. and then there's the risk the block could crack, although I'm not up on the strength of the Zed block. A single Turbo normaly gives more lag than twin turbos due to the larger airflow needed to spin up the turbine. If you are sticking to 6psi why not go the SC route, much cheaper?
  9. Lotus and TVR's are both hand built, so if one of the guys putting it together was having a off day, bad cury the night before, (can they get curry in Norfolk..... Mine was built by the A Team on a good day... Now I've said that i'll be plague with issues...
  10. The Spykers I've seen have been I think the benefits will be more than skin deep. Lotus don't need any help in styling a car...IMHO of course... Agree with you there Kev, but they could certainly learn to improve in the quality control department from my experience. Well I'm delighted with my Exige. No warranty issues and it's all put together very well. Not even any niggling rattles, which is amazing for this type of car. I think they had issues on the earlier S1 cars.

  12. I really need to do one of these in the Exige but can't get the time off in the week.
  13. If anyone is interested there's an offer below with weekend tickets for less than a Monday day ticket below. I'll be there on Sunday and Monday.

    Artega

    Nice engine..

I like it. Nice and light, decent power and hopefully german reliability. I notice it has a BMW headlight switch. Who's engine are they using? Unfortunately it will have to be exceptional to succeed at this price having no heritage / badge esteem which is a shame.
  16. I may be interested in some free tickets Steve?
  17. I think I'm having Randy's suspension setup on mine, Nitrons that is. Basically he ha them built to his spec, valving etc. You then get the same setup as his race car...
  18. Hofmans were selling their S1 for £50k and it won almost every round last yeat in LoT and has won every round this year.
  19. There's a guy in the states on SELOC who has around 350bhp in an S2 Exige. He's currently installing a new SC and expecting over 400 bhp. That's 900 kg's BTW.
  20. It's for sale only £300k http://www.race-cars.com/carsales/lotus ... 3823ss.htm
  21. The guy who re-mapped mine has re-mapped an 05 Gixxer 1000 to 229 bhp at the rear wheel. I've spoken to the owner too and this is just with a gas flowed head and an exhaust change. Mine has a little more than standard now...
  22. Yeah that's only a model she's standing next to so reckon she's about 6...
  23. Not sure what the ipod is all about.... I car is sooo wide...
  24. Apparently was raced by a guy called Tenque Djan-Lee (or something similar), won the MME (a couple of times I think), as well as a couple of FIA GT rounds out there...
