  1. Thanks for the post Nicola. I hope a lot of you Zed-guys (and gals) can make JAE this year. The Z Club will be there as well as Classic Zed Register and a few others so would be good to have you join us
  2. I agree it's a bit short notice and that's my fault for not contacting you guys earlier, sorry. We may well re-run this event later this year in the Summer (without the Michelin track day). If we do I will be sure to let you know and give you plenty of notice. Plus you'll have the reports back from the others to know just how good it is!
  3. 4. Thanks to Martin for posting this up. We really hope some of you guys can make it, two people in a car works out at less than £1200 per person - compare that to what everyone else is charging and you'll see it's excellent value for money. Then throw in the fact it's full-on VIP all the way and hopefully you'll see it really is a good deal. We already have 14 people going and are talking to a magazine about joining us. Two magazines have agreed to cover the trip as well. As well as the usual Stelvio Pass and Millau Viaduct there is also the Gorge Verdon to experience: http://www.topgear.com/uk/videos/rs4-v-climbers-2 I can also confirm the hotel in Monaco is the Metropole: http://www.metropole.com/en/home It would be really great if some of you guys could make it. We don't need the money right away just a confirmation that you want to come. If you want to know more just ask, send me an email in info@gtroc.org
  5. This event is limited to twenty cars rather than the normal 30+ that they do on public days, so lots more tuition and lots more time on track. If anyone is interested you can order on line: http://www.gtr.co.uk/products-83-toView ... _2008.html
  6. Just to say you don't have to bring the Zed, any car will do. It's as much a social day as a learning and fun day. If this works out maybe we should do some joint social/pub meets as well
  7. Thanks for the endorsemenet Steve Totally agree it's a brilliant day out
  8. No flyers (litter etc.) but there is a website that keeps you on top of all the activities: www.japcarclub.com If you want to see the layout here it is: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v159/ ... 9. Hope you don't mind me jumping in here Rob Just to let you know set-up is now Thursday with the show proper starting at 10am on FRIDAY (note this is NOT the bank holiday weekend). Friday night we have an Oasis tribute band doing two sets and also a disco all night Saturday is the usual activities of Shw n Shine, Tug of War but this year we've also added Its-a-Knockout, 5-a-side football and a lot more besides. As well as that there are zip wires, climbing walls and even a motor boat with a giant inflatable attached! Yep lots to do Hope you can all make it
  10. Hello everyone, I hope you don't mind me inviting you to an event we have booked for 5 June at North Weald. The event is a Car Limits Day where you get to practice high speed cornering, short drag race, cone dodging and a lot of other general fun stuff whilst learning in a safe environment the limits of the car and driver. We've run a couple of these in the past and they have proved very popular but we'd like to invite some other cars along and get to know other clubs as well and thought it would be great to get a few 350Zs along. As well as that we all go off to the pub for lunch so it's not all hard work! We have the tickets for sale in our shop if you want to order through there but if you want to add them to your shop I'm happy to take a block booking if that makes it easier. http://www.gtr.co.uk/products-53-toView ... s_day.html The cost is £55 and it's a very busy and fun packed day and is about as much fan as you can possibly have for the price of a tank of fuel. If you want to know what to expect perhaps the folowing will give you some idea: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Z64FemCmMho http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=R-ORSEL-Y6I http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=b_SBq4etwNM http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=55Hk2bUI3YA http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pt-IAMrcLeE I hope the moderators are okay with me posting this up and hope we can get a decent group of ars together and have a good social meet as well as some cheap track fun Thanks John
  11. The 100mph was the top speed hit by the Scooby boys going down Pit Straight. There is plenty of room, Silverstone is a very wide track. If you're woprried about breaking distances this wont be a problem as the old stuff will be at the front and you guys at the back so it will all work infavour of the slowest cars. In addition it will be behind a RAC MSA Pace Car with a driver and an observer on board. All drivers are required to attend a briefing to ensure safety and will be required to register.
  12. Yeah, but you've all got to turn up and parade You get nothing for adding your name to the list it only counts when you are on track. By the way did I say, I do the counting?
  13. Just to let you know, the Sumo Power 350Z will also be in the parade lap
  14. Hi guys n gals........ Just a bit more detail: Entry is per person at £12.50, children are £5 and under 5s go free. All cars will be parked on the Z Club stand, The parade lap will be at 1:30pm but all drivers and all passengers (including children) are required to attend a briefing at midday. All drivers will be required to sign a form. There is no minimum age limit for passengers and 4 or 5 seater vehicles can have a full compliment of passengers subject to seat belts being worn. Crash helmets are not required. If you want to organise your parade in marque order then you will need to park in the same order. Similarly this applies for colours. The responsibility for parking in this fashion, if you decide, will be the responsibility of the Z Club, although we will mark out the rows for you. At 1pm all vehicles must be ready to move off and will be escorted to a holding area in order prior to the parade lap. Once in the holding area no cars may leave and no additional passengers will be allowed (though passengers can leave). Cameras are allowed if fixed or if hand held provided they are not used by the driver! No stereos (ICE!) etc is to be played during the parade lap and all vehicles must have main beam on for the lap. Non road legal vehicles will be allowed subject to an inspection for safety. There is a staic noise limit for the day and, as the parade lap is at a medium pace there is every chance that we wont noise test any of the parade lap cars. If you get more than 108 cars (National Skyline meet) on track for the parade lap, The Organisation will donate £108 to your preferred charity
