  1. I can see an argument brewing...
  2. Probably something to do with a car magazine. I know Evo had both of those (and a Zonda) recently too for a road test.
  3. lmao! VERY funny! I'll have to actually get my ass to one of your shows some time (the Brighton one passed me by... )
  4. I wanted a UY, but they'd sold out Still, the custard jokes make me laugh!
  5. haha, it's good to have forums like this... no speeding tickets yet (touch wood!), but nice to know ways to get off them!
  6. haha, I'd be lucky! I'm hoping I won't have to test them, but it does make sense that if a problem happened twice and then came back out of warranty, their "fix" didn't work and it would need fixing properly.
  7. The non-BOSE is supposed to be easy to change the speakers on. Something to do with amps and ohms I believe!
  8. After I got my clicking fixed for a second time , I asked the garage if they'd changed the components this time as last time (they "greased it up" before) it started clicking again after 4-5 months. They said that they'd changed some parts and if the problem reoccurs, they'll fix it again *out of warranty* as it shows the initial fix didn't remedy the problem! You can bet I'll hold them to that if it happens again, but I guess it depends what your dealer is prepared to do.
  9. Does anyone recommend any cleaning/conditioning products for the Alezan leather seats? Mine are looking a bit grubby and I'd like them all clean and soft again!
  10. Sounds like just your colour Sarnie! Your driveway would look like a rhubarb and custard sweet!
  11. I got the magazine delivered this morning on subscription, so it's as up to date as magazine press gets. EVO did say that Nissan are likely to release it as an upgrade kit at the least (or some such) too. Perhaps Auto Express have someone on the inside letting them know? Who knows!
  12. lol, you can have a shaky shot from my digi cam if you like, but I have no scanner! Ok, how's that?
  13. According to Auto Express, the GT-S (with the super charger) will be going into limited production and will cost £36k when it goes on sale later this year. Hmm... EDIT: I realised I had an R and not an S in GT hehe!
  14. hmm, I have the burgers still! I do have a stubby ariel though
  15. With the bridgestones, they'd be good for another 10k miles!
  16. According to the bible (Evo magazine ): Mini Cooper S GP 0-60: 6.5 power/weight ratio: 203 350z (new model) 0-60: 5.8 power/weight ratio: 197 I guess the 350z is better at getting the power down and is probably a lot better on the track too.
  17. omg, it looked like the 350z was standing still!
  18. I could, but if they do the job, I have better things to do with my time than phone them, arrange postage etc. I've not been overcharged anyway (I'm wondering if I messed up my order myself now), so as long as they're not going to fly off at speed, I don't mind. I think I'll just stick them on and see how it goes - I've never noticed the passenger one flapping in the wind!
  19. I eventually got around to getting the new wipers, but I think they've sent the wrong ones. I asked for 2 PIAA wipers, one with the spoiler (driver side) and one without (passenger side), but I've been sent two without spoilers. I looked at the invoice and they're both priced the same, which makes me think something has gone wrong with the order. On the site, I could *only* choose one with a spoiler due to its size, so I've no idea how it has gone wrong. Anyway, will the wippers be fine anyway without the spoiler? If it works fine and I've not over paid, I'll just stick them on.
  20. Mine came from Clarion, France apparently and only took a week or two. Mind you, as I'd been waiting 3 months, I should have hoped they'd have jumped the queue with me! The good news is the new unit is fine so far. I gave it a good ragging while playing loud (which used to pop the left channel out often) and it carried on fine. I didn't have a replacement car - took them under an hour to fit and wash it.
  21. Sorry to bring up this old topic, but after all the praise I heaped on them last time, I have to add some bad stuff. The CD player is being fitted today (do the maths for the waiting time) and after phoning them up numerous times along the way, being told it was coming it was all BS. I even asked people to check the order and they went away, came back and said it was on its way. Finally, I was starting to lose my rag (I'm a patient man) and demanded that they do a proper check as to where the feck it was as it was taking ages. The service manager then started checking things out and there was NOTHING on order at all! The bunch of muppets didn't even have any record of them noting the problem down! So, about 8 days after returning the car again to get the serial checked (I did wonder why they didn't require that before after hearing others' experiences), I get a phone call saying it had arrived. WHY COULDN'T THEY HAVE DONE THAT 3 MONTHS AGO!?! Still, at least they haven't broken anything... yet...
  22. I started having that over the last month or so. I think it's quietened down a bit now, but I've not driven it much over the last week to know. My old Civic did the same sound for years with no problems mind, so I'm not expecting it to be a major problem (other than an annoyance).
  23. I guess it depends whether they just switch the whole VQ production to the latest model or not. Unless there is a lot of costly materials used, I should imagine they'd just use the new design in all the cars where it would fit. I don't know much about engine production, but I'm guessing that once you've re-tooled, it's easier and better to use the new design everywhere feasible?
