to be honest, i think the posts per page is about right, especially when we have threads with millions of pictures, it takes for ever to scroll to the bottom of the page

i know but i just wanted to say poop on the forum

the old Mk1 MR2 can be had for cheap money these days and they will be fairly east to work on, not only that if you **** it up you can dismantle it and sell it for spares. my mate did this bought an old banged up MR2 mk1 for pennies and then stripped it for parts, if i remember rightly he made more money on it in bits than he spent buying it. Ekona knows the bloke and more of the details. but that thing was a skeleton on axle stands in about 2 weeks it will give you lots of welding to do, you can practice painting it, and as a bonus it has a targa top for the hot weather and its great fub to chuck around. and parts are fairly cheap. as for other alternatives, the old mini is awesome to work on and parts are mentally cheap, just look in the back of a mini mag, stage 3 tuning is like £200 exhausts are less than £100, you can get hole new panels, for about £50 the engine has nothing to it. so dead easy to start on, and if you get good and then bored, you can even drop something like a bike engine or a type R engine in. near enough no electrics on it. you could buy a complete shell and build it up from scratch.

if i'm really honest.. and i know people might frown on this.... but i don't miss my zed at all, a great car yes but i've had more fun in the S2000, and more comfort in the jag. i never looked back at the zed when i sold it, but i felt quiet sad when i sold the S2k, same as when i sold my old MR2 roadster and pug GTi6 i think what i'm getting at is that there is life after Zed

i must admit i have delibertly bought a performance car recently that was pre 2001 to make sure i was on the cheap insurance, and the other advantage is that its tuned for 95 ron, which swapping from the likes of the zed and the S2k is like getting a 10p a litre discount. the car may be a little thirstier, but its still cheaper best keep it on 98 ron, other wise your engine will go tick...tick...tick...boom

its says it in the filler car for a reason, its what the engine has been tuned for. if you can't afford to put the right fuel in it maybe you have the wrong car its like having a diesel and putting unleaded in it becuase its cheaper. i reckon we'll see a few engines go pop over the next few years as people take less care of them than the original buyers when the cars were 30K to buy.
