  1. Noah's Ark In the year 2007 the Lord came unto Noah, who was now living in England and said, "Once again, the earth has become wicked and over-populated, and I see the end of all flesh before me. Build another Ark and save two of every living thing along with a few good humans." He gave Noah the CAD drawings, saying, "You have 6 months to build the Ark before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights." Six months later, the Lord looked down and saw Noah weeping in his garden - but no Ark. "Noah!" He roared, "I'm about to start the rain! Where is the Ark?" "Forgive me, Lord," begged Noah, "but things have changed. I needed Building Regulations Approval and I've been arguing with the Fire Brigade about the need for a sprinkler system. My neighbours claim that I should have obtained planning permission for building the Ark in my garden because it is development of the site, even though in my view it is a temporary structure. We had to then go to appeal to the Secretary of State for a decision. Then the Department of Transport demanded a bond be posted for the future costs of moving power lines and other overhead obstructions to clear the passage for the Ark 's move to the sea. I told them that the sea would be coming to us, but they would hear nothing of it. Getting the wood was another problem. All the decent trees have Tree Preservation Orders on them and we live in a Site of Special Scientific Interest set up in order to protect the spotted owl. I tried to convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to save the owls - but no go! When I started gathering the animals, the RSPCA sued me. They insisted that I was confining wild animals against their will. They argued the accommodation was too restrictive, and it was cruel and inhumane to put so many animals in a confined space. Then the County Council, the Environment Agency and the Rivers Authority ruled that I couldn't build the Ark until they'd conducted an environmental impact study on your proposed flood. I'm still trying to resolve a complaint with the Equal Opportunities Commission on how many disabled carpenter's I'm supposed to hire for my building team. The trades unions say I can't use my sons. They insist I have to hire only accredited workers with Ark-building experience. To make matters worse, Revenue and Customs seized all my assets, claiming I'm trying to leave the country illegally with endangered species. So, forgive me, Lord, but it would take at least 10 years for me to finish this Ark." Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine, and a rainbow stretched across the sky. Noah looked up in wonder and asked, "You mean you're not going to destroy the world?" "No," said the Lord. "The British Government beat me to it."
  2. Dear Walter: I hope you can help me here. The other day I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't gone more than a mile down the road when my engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in the bedroom with a neighbor lady making mad passionate love to her. I am 32, my husband is 34 and we have been married for twelve years. When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that he'd been having an affair for the past six months. I told him to stop or I would leave him. He was let go from his job six months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and worthless. I love him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has become increasingly distant. I don't feel I can get through to him anymore. Can you please help? Sincerely, Mrs. Sheila Usk ................................................................................................................. Dear Sheila: A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debris in the fuel line. If it is clear, check the jubilee clips holding the vacuum pipes onto the inlet manifold. If none of these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the carburetor float chamber. I hope this helps. Walter
  3. He was a sodding brit I think! None of us had the inclination to get too close to him incase we went blind. The Monky Hanging is known the world over. Im proud! We were told Frenchmen were Short, Hairy, Smelly, and didnt speak English..... ....so I reckon we had the right idea!
  4. At least he wasnt in the Borat swimsuit! There was a bloke in one of those on the camp site next to us at Le Mans......damned frightening at 8am in the morning with a hangover!

  6. The show itself was on last week. And was actually pretty good. ive seen alot of these programs over the years, and D-day wa sone of my A-Level projects, so it was interetsing to see a program that strictly concentrated on Omaha Beach, and actually bothered to learn a few facts. Though as usual, alot of the story was hearsay and writers guesses.
  7. i bet you get it all at once, and to top it all you'll end up with SmallPox too, just to be awkward!
  8. This is the actual car that helped me choose to get a Pearl White. I had been looking at 2nd hand, so had been trawling pistonheads for days. Then I found out i get a 14% discount off new as my Uncle works at the factory. So when choosing colours, I immediatly rememebred this one. And now it's mine! All mine!!! well.....almost.

  14. I got a call from my dealer about 2 hours ago asking me to go through and just sign a few final things (GAP equity stuff) So I arrives in the dealership car park, and nearly crashed my Rex, as there, right in front of me, was a Pearl White 350z! My Peral White 350z! She arrived this morning, and still needs full PDI, superguard, and my private plate tranferred. Im off on Holiday on sat, so I will be picking her up on the 21st. didnt stop me having a look around her though and taking pics. She still ha the protective wax on in places (hence why she looks so dull) adn still has paper on in other places. But I can assure you, after taking off a small bit of the wax, the white is simply stunning!!! Some pics....
  15. Id go with the HUD. Yiou can get them from Argos IIRC. Its just a small digital clock that projects the time onto any surface, in this case it would be your windscreen. You been in a vette? it's the same kind of thing they use for their speedo/rev counter
  16. welcome. remember also, if you go second hand it will likely be Chilli Red. Where as the the new red (Rosso red) has only just been released IIRC first batch was released from the Sunderland Compound on the 7th along with the new pearl whites. Al
  17. New red is Rosso Red. Code A41. Ive got a sheet printed off the Nissan Intranet which details the withdrawl of temper Orange and Chilli Red to be replaced with Pearl White and Rosso Red.
  18. I used to drive my mums Nissan Micra 1.0 cameo. but the first car I owned myself was a Vauxhall Astra 1.8SXi with full Irmscher kit chavtastic! Sold it and got something sensible....the Rex!
  19. Yeah, the rears look lost in the arches! Increasing the sidewall should work
  20. Just spoke to Pete from www.groundingkits.co.uk He was totally unaware that there was an angine bay arrangement change in the Zed. Ive sent him some pics (scrounged off google), and he's gunna have a look see, to see if he needs to change his design for MY07 cars. Just keeping people informed incase they were as baffled as me!
